To expound upon that. "anti day-1 joke voting" is a little harsh in the phrasing... I'm not necessarily "anti" I just can't think of better wording at the moment. I'm just trying to assign reasoning to each of my votes of late. Granted on the first vote of D1 that reasoning will be incredibly weak... but meh... that's how I'm looking at it right now.

i saw the controversy on the other thread. its an interesting debate. it also makes good cover for scum to push 'serious' voting through on small or spurious cases without being seen as scummy. i also find it amusing that these games started in fiddles on dm and people want to remove the messing about. true, as dorothy said 'toto, i dont think we're in fiddlesticks anymore' so if people want to be more serious, thats fine, serious voting does have to start at some point.

That's true. However I think that townies can carry the joke voting to far, because, and I see all the time, they're mostly resigned to the "fact" that a townies usually gets lynched on day one so most of them don't try as hard as they should.

 

And my vote probably won't stay on Levity. I'm sure something juicier will come along, but for the moment I see no one better to switch it to so it'll sit as is for the time being.
