Dear lovely mod goddess of infinite sexiness, are character reveals forbidden? Just wanna get the ground rules layed out...

 

this is scummy, your drawing focus onto the fact that you want to reveal your character because you speficially ask if we can reveal our characters. which says to me that theres a good hance that you might be scum and think your character would be veiwed as a townie and therefor give you a way to help lay low through most of the game as a semi-confirmed innocent.

 

not to mention your excuse of "just wanting to get the ground rules layed out" when Lily had already posted them if you had read them.

Scummy? No. Lazy? Ok, it was lazy I admit it. And since it was a joke vote I tried to make it as non-personal as I can hence the explanation. Since the vote more than likely won't stick but for a few hours I just thought I'd put Key's mind at ease a little. And as far as skimming goes, I was just a little too excited to get the game going, new games always do that to me *nods.

not really. the rules plainly state Days will be between 48 & 72 hours (excluding Day 1) Day one is only just beginning, so asking for a deadline so soon sounds scummy to me and like she skimmed the rules imo. now if we were 72+ hours into the game, that would be different.

To me, it just doesn't seem like the best way to start out. Honestly, I've never been in a game where there was actually a no lynch D1. I just wanted to D1 joke-vote you, and that seemed like a good reason, LOL.

The deadline for day one is not listed in the rules, so how is that me skimming the rules?

 

And I want to know when deadline is cause I would like to know how much time we have to goof off like this and when we really should be leaving the jokes behind and starting to focus on actual game play. I take the game seriously. I'm all for a little bit of fun, its a game after all, but there comes a time when we need to settle down and actually start playing. If we have 5 or 6 days then 24 hours people checking in and goofing off isn't so bad. But if we only have 3 days then we should start using our time.

Kath, why shoudl a deadline dictate when we "get serious" in the game? shouldn't we be looking for scummy things as soon as the game starts; as we all know that soem of these "joke votes" are nothing more than scum trying to blend in and use this "day 1 silliness" to blend in and sow chaos.

 

for instance, we have Nol whose seemed to latch onto the clown talk and focus on it. among the other things i've already pointed out.

 

 

 

and the skimming comment doesn't really come from asking for a deadline, more that it gives the apperance that your only concerned with when the deadline will fall rather than hunting for scum. which is scummy imo.

Joke votes are often the most telling of the game if gaged properly. Even for those people whp truely voted for the fun of it, or in jest.

imo, most of us know that the first votes on D1 are jokes. the fact that someone feels they need to justify it says to me that theiy're trying too hard to blend in with the norm.
