I am keeping my vote on Ishy. I think it was a mafia move trying to get a bandwagon going with joke votes.

I'm really not happy with people voting and saying its just a band wagon. My own vote on Kate was purely an initial joke vote. Maybe one or two of the others were also the same - but since when is blatant bandwagoning a skillful thing to do. It just smacks of laziness and easiness (is that a real word). Considering there is no deadline at present what on earth are the people joining in on this wagon thinking.

 

They are not even giving real reasons for voting.

And Ishy & Red - why do you think bandwagons are good things?

I wasn't defending Kate. I was saying that a blatant bandwagon for no reason makes no sense, especially as it was formed with several initial Joke Votes - one of which was mine. I'm not going to continue with a wagon I don't believe in at this point. I would rather give everyone a bit more opportunity to post and say stuff that I can then use to form opinions and build cases etc.

 

If you think that there is a valid reason for voting Kate, then by all means share it with me. I know you are much more experienced at spotting Mafia tells than I am.

 

I'm really trying to just not just play a 'feelings and gut' game this time.

Also @ Wombat - Kate did do a blatant OMGUS vote in the first game she played here, and I was watching that game. I honestly thought at the time that she was just a newb who didn't have a clue - but she did end up being Mafia. But then again, Ishy did do that miscount and promoted the Kate bandwagon. What do you think about that? I know you often have a sixth sense about these things, that has been developed by far too much time spent playing this game.

my vote is half joke & half realvote. the joke portion comes from the fact that jack usually votes #11, i had intended to vote #11 in honor of our Mod when i signed up.

 

 

also, kiv says it best when he talks about competing bandwagons. it gives us more info than one wagon and normally shakes soemthing loose. really it's not the reaction of the peron i'm voting for that i'm after, btu the reaction of those voting for and against hte same person. the more wagons you build up, the more you have to analyze when you get the corners reports. besides, it was 4 votes when i voted for her, whcih is less than half. Womby brings up good reasoning and really i dislike Kate's early reveal; if we had a deadline or she was closer to a hammer i might buy it, but right now when all but a few of the votes on her are plainly joke votes and the game just started ... it makes me happy to keep my vote where it is, eventhough i'm a bit put off by the fastness of her wagon.

If you provide a good reason for voting, it doesn't seem like OMGUS. I don't think your reason was good though, so to me it looks like OMGUS.

WWombat, I gave the best I had when I posted. It's Day 1...there really isn't that much to go off of.

 

Ishy and Red have both brought up this idea of having 2 bandwagons, yet I still only see one. And, Red, you're right about one thing, 4 votes is under half, but your fifth vote tipped the scales.

my original vote was at 4th kate, then Womby voted for you. when jack posted the original vote count he didn't count my vote, i guess cause it was in Red. my original intention for voting you still remains the same though as this is when i originally did vote you.

 

 

your attempt at twisting it, lack of a real defense and that you seem to be squirming makes me comfy with where my vote is. that and i still don't liek the smell of your counterclaim. if there wasn't these reasons to make me comfy with keeping my vote where it is, i'd likely move it; but until i see anyhing furher, rightnow you are the scummiest thing in this game.
