I find it interesting and quite scummy that there are some players who haven't voted yet. Its as if they are scared they might look scummy. The only people scared of looking scummy are mafia!

Unvote

Phelix

So I'm scummy for not voting yet... must make the people who haven't posted at all even scummier.

I think I'm going to hold off on casting my vote just yet. I mean, if someone already thinks I'm scummy because I didn't cast a silly Day One vote, I'm sure someone else will think I'm scummy for letting that first person pressure me into a silly vote.

I don't believe in silly Day 1 randomness. There is always a purpose, and the mafia do what they can to act as innocent as possible. Problem is there is always a "tell" with mafia scumbags. They know they are mafia and are always looking to see if what they do makes them look scum. That's why they are more reluctant to vote as fast as vanilla townies do! ;)

unvote

Phelix

There, that's bold enough for ya?

Well, its always something really. There are a thousand ways to appear as scum this early in the game but 9 out of 10 its a townie getting lynched at the end of the day  .

But there are always 3 types of mafia in the game, one who sits in the background, the other one who tries to lead the discussion and another doing a bit of everything.

lol

Your types covers all players I think.

But unfortunately I think you´re right - day one seems to be a good day for scum.

I agree with Phelix here. If you don't believe in silly Day 1 randomness, what's the purpose of your vote on Talya? And why did you choose Phelix over the other player that hadn't voted. The fact you state you don't like the randomness suggests this is an attempt to draw him out.

They are indeed looking to see if what they do is scummy. As to bolded, is this an attempt to make Phelix seem scum, or is it an attempt at hiding the fact you are scum, by implying that because you voted fast making you a townie?

I find you actions rather odd, including your unvote and re-vote before we even had any discussion going. Still interested in your reasoning for that one.

I usually find that people have their own ways of playing day 1. I don't think that when someone votes straight away is definitely town and I don't think those that hold off are definitely scum. When I used to play, many moons ago (hey no falling a sleep) , No one ever voted straight away. /reminisce

Mynd is trying to shake the grass and see what pops up, he probably did that with his first vote too. that's his style!

Yeah, that's true. Neither do I think that, I just wanted to ask him about it. After all, it could be just a simple move to generate discussion.

I suppose the problem with being is new you don't know/recognise a certain player's style, but I suppose I can learn it

1. Talya - voting for Locke

2. Phelix

3. Deadly - voting for Locke

4. Mav

5. csarmi - voting for Subjectivity

6. Locke

7. Mynd - voting for Phelix

8. GMaster479 - voting for Mynd

9. TinaHel - voting for Deadly

10. Tiinker

11. Vieira151 - voting for Tiinker

12. Subjectivity to personhood

By my count here is what we have right now for votes. I know this isn't the style used on here and that the mod is supposed to do it but I struggle keeping track of them. I have used this type of voting in different games before and I think that it helps keep track of who is voting for whom better. Note that both votes for Locke are in green.

I still havent perfected my Day One voting/check in/randomness yet. kind of hard too perfect it when only a quarter of the players are active.

It doesn't look like he's signed in... is he playing a deep silent game then? Only going to come out to vote?

Hmmm.

Really, the thing that is leaping out as the most scummy to me is Mav's list of types of players. That list really does cover everyone... now, it could just be a silly way of saying it's really hard to spot scum... or it could be a way of discouraging Townies from acting on suspicious behavior.

For now, I'm going to vote Mav.

vote Mav

No better idea. I'll check on once in a while, but I'm sick so I'll be inactive. Might as well cast a Vote tho.

I was rather stating the obvious, instead of randomly accusing and following the player who is more resourcefull in his choosing of words, we should rather look at players acting out of their natural character.

Obviously I can't be a good judge of players their behavior this soon, I am only starting to get to know all of you, but I do seem to note a few oddities in your way of bringing forth a lynch under my name.

You stated that my posts looked scummy, while all I did was replying to Myndrunner and your discussion about day 1 voting and appearing scummy for not voting; I that you can't put a stamp on scum, they can play any act and you find that statement scummy.

Thats rather odd, or are you troubled that I undermine your definition of scum? Hence you can't initiate a lynch on the inactive players with a bandwagon following and ofcourse not seeming suspicious while at it?

This strikes me aswell, hops in, states that he is sick and doesn't have mutch time hence his inactivity/laying low, casts a vote while he is here anywhere, hops back out...

Lets initiate a bandwagon alright?

Currently 3 people are pinging me with their manouvers on day 1, thats Myndrunner, Phelix and csarmi.

I noticed I made a few typos/words that have dissapeared...

casts a vote while he is here anyway

This should do the trick, sorry for that :/
