[Basic Mafia] Fiddleton - Game Over

Welcome to the town of Fiddleton!

 

It’s a brisk spring morning, and as group you stumble upon a town long forgotten, Fiddleton. The beautiful landscape of rolling hills and dancing butterflies drew you in and you decided to set up residence in the abandoned town. Unbeknownst to the new townsfolk, Fiddleton had a dark history and was a town that once craved blood.

 

Unfortunately for you, nothing has changed...

 

It has been almost a year since you settled in Fiddleton. You've worked the land and have had a plentiful harvest. Spring has sprung and you are taking your produce into town to sell. Fiddleton is as beautiful as ever, yet something is wrong. You notice when you go to town, everyone is keeping to themselves, not as friendly and warm. While bartering with the local store, you hear a scream from the Common. Forgetting about the sale, you run outside to see what the commotion is about. Upon entering the Common you see what has everyone upset. Barmacral, your mayor, is lying in a pool of his blood, eyes already dead. Very distraught, one by one you decide the traitors behind this atrocity must die!

 

 

RULES

*Day 1 will have no deadline. Day Cycles will be a maximum of 72 hours and Night Cycles will be 48 hours.

*If Day deadlines are missed and a majority lynch is not reached, a random player will be killed.

*If Night deadlines are missed, you forfeit your action for that night.

*All votes must be BOLDED in the COLOR RED to count.

*There will be a full coroner report.

*Only the Mafia team, who will be provided a QT board, can speak outside the game thread.

*You may not quote pms from the Mod, if you do it will be an instant MOD KILL.

*DO NOT EDIT your posts, to do so would be considered cheating! Double posting is acceptable.

*Unless you are gone on an LOA, you are required to post at least one post of substance within a game day to not be MOD KILLED for inactivity.

*Spam to a point is acceptable. If it gets out of hand, you will get a warning. If you fail to ignore my warning you will be MOD KILLED.

*Please only one blah post after death.

Is that a random vote on a player who hasn't voted, or is it something personal against Phelix? Did you find something scummier in his post than others? Personally I find it odd you have unvoted and re-voted already, considering we haven't got any discussion going on in the game as of yet.

 

Also, what makes you say that a townie, or a player with a role(is there a term for this? ) has less to fear of looking scummy than Mafia? The mafia could easily use them to further their own plans.

I don't believe in silly Day 1 randomness. There is always a purpose, and the mafia do what they can to act as innocent as possible. Problem is there is always a "tell" with mafia scumbags. They know they are mafia and are always looking to see if what they do makes them look scum. That's why they are more reluctant to vote as fast as vanilla townies do! ;)

So your original vote for Talya was in no way silly? You were just as much part of the Day One silliness as anyone else was. In fact, up until you switched your vote to me, no one had posted anything in the way of a serious vote. Some rolled dice, others had their kids pick a number. You'll notice I did make a post teasing a bit about my thoughts on voting... I've voted for Csarmi first in at least two games now, and Tiinker's avatar caught my eye. I made my post, intending to come back and see what responses I had, only to find I'd been voted for. But that's neither here nor there.

 

I believe in making serious votes for a reason, so I'm waiting to see what people have to say. Frankly, with how hard you are pushing on Day One when we don't have a deadline, it's a bit disconcerting. You went from 0 to scum-hunter in nothing flat.

 

I'll make my vote when I'm ready. Personally, I'm beginning to see things that hint at scumminess to me, but nothing that's at a level where I'd feel comfortable making an accusation.
