Ah. So you are a Trainer of soon-to-be Adjunct Facilitators?

 

Hah, nope. They consider me Adjunct Faculty to our "university" of official trainers. I'll most likely be used to assist the official trainers in large classes where they need a helper (i.e. new hire training, which lasts 4-1/2 weeks in my area of the company, with 2 weeks of on the job training that follows) or even to take those classes if there is a scheduling conflict and we can't get one of the contracted trainers.... and teaching shorter classes if it's not worth flying in an official trainer. Won't be training other trainers at this stage.

But seriously. So what kind of stuff will you be teaching?

Whatever they assign me to. Most likely new hire training for my area of the company, though, I've assisted with two classes previously. Possibly some short classes for refreshers on specific topics or to explain new procedures or programs that are introduced.

I work for a mail order pharmacy call center associated with a large insurance company, so there is much technical stuff involved.

HIPAA privacy laws. Medicare part D requirements and plan provisions. Explaining deductibles and other stuff about insurance plans on the pharmacy side.

 

Pronouncing medication names is never easy, either.
