Prologue Availability outside the USA

Hey guys just going to ask this here. Any chance if you know the prolouge will be available in Ireland to buy. I've tried amazon, on the UK one you can't buy stuff when your Irish and usually I use the american one but for some reason its not available to customers from Europe. Now that hasn't happened before. So any idea where I could get the ebook and not the audio version of it. Again can't get it through itunes.

I'd like to know about getting it in the UK too.

 

UK ebook sites don't have it listed. US Stores are all US only now.

I got the TGS prologue from Powells.com - but that doesn't have ToM Prologue listed.

Have you tried Amazon Lambada? The kindle version. So can we not get kindle books on Amazon US anymore? Where the heck will I get them cant use the UK one either. Phaw!

On Amazon.com the pre-order / buy button is replaced with "Kindle titles are available for UK customers on Amazon.co.uk." And a Link to the UK Kindle Store.

On Amazon.co.uk it's not listed.

WoK is coming out in Jan 2011 over here I do believe - I recall seeing that somewhere - not sure where though.

 

And I just tweeted both [twitter]torbooks[/twitter] and [twitter]orbitbooks[/twitter] about this problem. But given it's now the weekend, I wouldn't expect to hear anything until Monday earliest.

We had to search a little last year to find a vendor that was selling it to non-US residents, but we did find one pretty quickly. Same for Mac users.

Yeah there was a bit of a panic last year about this, but in the end it worked out fine. I had the prologue within an hour of it going up.

I got fed up with waiting for WoK and ordered it from the US (it didn't cost too much extra to have it shipped). I'm currently searching where to get my copy of the prologue from. (will let you guys know if I find anything)

I've been looking too, and couldn't find anything. I bought WoK from US, preordered ToM from US, but I could do it from Amazon France and would lile the prologue too... but this one is 404 not found :)

Last year I got the prologue no bother but as audiobook

and I'd rather the ebook this year.

Even Uk doesn't seem to be able to find it. I have little hope myself to find it in France. In hungary? Likely not...

I think the best chance is to try and see if there is a US vendor that is not blocking people buying it abroad. (I'm going to try amazon.com, when released I've had it before that buying things from a different country doesn't like you pre-ordering, but is more than happy to sell once it has come out.)

I found the place where we got it last year for non-US residents. Powell's Books. They don't have the TOM prologue listed yet, but neither did they have the TGS prologue listed until it was released last year.

Sorry, I sometimes depend too much on 'unread posts' to determine what I've read already and what I haven't. I think during the hunt I marked a bunch of stuff read that I hadn't actually read. It's settled down a bit now. :)

 

It's always a problem on TL because if you have a thread open for too long, it will mark all of your posts read for the whole forum when you time out, but usually I can use it here with some precision (which made the glitch in the structured Asmodean thread incredibly annoying).

I had the opposite problem recently - it cancelled all of my 'watched topic' notifications, and acted like I hadn't read a single post on the board (including my own LOL).

 

Well, atleast DM and TL can be buggy together :P

Unfortunately, all Macmillan ebooks were made unavailable to us due to a change the way ebooks are being sold at this time. This was a result of Amazon's refusing to allow publishers set the price of their ebooks and the resulting changes this forced.

 

It is our hope that ebooks from Macmillan and other publishers will be made available to us again soon and we are making some changes that should speed up that process. At this time I do not know for certain if this book will be available through us outside of the United States. We will certainly offer it if the publisher does not restrict the sale to Australia.
