Zoolander Mafia Game Thread (Standard Mafia)

Ok, I didn't want to do this until I had more info, but since I think I may be a NK target tonight, I am Matilda Jeffries and I am the Tracker. On the first night I checked out Ed, he is Mafia. The next night I checked out Dark, who came up Town. I just checked Al Jenn and he came up Town too. I know that someone could have a power that always make them look innocent, but this is what I found. There are seven players left alive and we have the names and alignments of 4 of them. I really struggled with whether or not I should come out now, and I'm sorry if it was too early and I could have had another night to find someone else, and I'm really sorry that I only found one Mafia, but this is what I've got so far. I realize now I'm an even bigger target and probably wont make it long enough to get through to another day, but there it is.

I actually thought this right away too... Trackers usually see people's actions in some way or another, not alignment. Could me a newbie mistake of either the mafia, or the mod (no offense Tal) those are the two possibilities I thought of.

Again, unless she is a day viewer, I saw this as a good flaw in her claim. However, it could be that the mod gives results as soon as she turns in a name if she isn't a day viewer. Possible but not likely.

 

I'm not sure how I feel on this. Obviously the counter-claimant would call the original-claimant out as mafia, that's a given, but now we also have the predicament of Al being mafia/not-mafia according to two sources. Could be a way to cover up for him, but I don't see it as likely. I am going to come back to this tomorrow after I get off work (around 6pm-ish hopefully) so I will have a more awake mind. Right now I'm just laying out my thoughts for myself kinda (and anyone else who cares).

I did think of that but I thought you weren't allowed to give your result till day break even if you get it earlier. I want her answer tho. Im still inclined to trust her more than ed for some reason....

Ok, This is my first time playing with a power, in the PM I got from Talm I was told that I was the tracker and that every night I can pick a person to check and I would be given their alignment.

 

I told you the results I got. And because I was unsure of Al Jenn this night as soon as night hit I checked him. I got a reply from Talm and came straight here to post. I wasn't told that I had to wait till morning to say something, and I was a little nervous of a NK because of my earlier posts and there only being 7 people left.

 

I didn't want to die and have my info go to waste and leave the town with nothing more to go on. I just replied when I got my response. I don't know what goes on in an average game, all I know is how its been working this game. I send a PM to Talms, he responds with the alignment of the person I picked and I posted it as soon as it came in. I wasn't told to wait until the morning, so I didn't think I had to.

 

If I do die tonight you will see that I am who I say I am and then you don't have to worry about who to believe on the results. I don't really want to die, but I figure this is my best chance at helping the town and not just dying with the info I have. As it stands there are 7 players and 4 of them have now had the alignment revealed (but there is a chance that one of the Town aligned people could have an ability to show up town even if they are mafia). I was just trying to get the info out as much as I could before I died. You can either kill me now and see for your self, let me live and find another person (hopefully mafia for you) or you could let me live through the night, then lynch me to see if I'm telling the truth. You will find out when I die and the character is revealed. Its up to you.

As Ed pointed out, tracker =/= finder.

 

I'm going with Al Jenn tomorrow (unless the events of the night change my decision).

1) I trust Ed's claim more at this point.

2) We aren't risking a Finder candidate.

Bah, I wish I would have been around. Adella obviously you were on Ed's team. Not sure how I would have convinced the town to lynch Ed instead of me until Kathleen came out.
