I have a LOA coming up June 19-26 and will probably have limited internet access during that time, so I've been watching Alanna's standard game to see if I'm going to need to be moved from the next-for-signups position in the standard queue.  I'd prefer not to run my first game when I'm out of town, though I did consider finding a co-mod for that week.  I also considered running it as a deadline game rather than a hammer game so I could set deadlines for nights when I'd have access at the hotel, but I prefer to play hammer games and wanted to run it like I like to play.  I don't want to start sign-ups and then realize while watching Wombat's game that it's going to end when I'm gone and have to say "Whoops!  Sorry!"

 

I already talked to Talm since he's after me in the queue but he also has a LOA during that time, so we'd be deferring to Barm.  This is basically a heads up and a "why I'm not signing up for your games even though they sound awesome" rolled into one.  ;)  If Wombat starts before the middle of June (which I think is very likely) I will ask to be moved.

Thanks Verb.  :)  I just might take you up on that.  I'm jazzed about being able to mod and if I put it off, it might creep towards my next LOA (Aug 7-13) where I will have no computer access at all.  At least for the June LOA I should have limited access some evenings.

Just a question for the mods - do we really want the queue to be that long? It's looking like at least a couple of months from the time someone signs up until they get to run their game. My suggestion would be to run two themed games at a time, at least for a little while. But it IS just a suggestion. You guys are doing a great job with this board and probably know better than I do what's best.

 

 

I have a teeny bit of self-interest in that question - I NEED more mafia! I'm not a huge fan of playing in the orgs, but one does what one must to satisfy the cravings. *sigh*
