DRAGONMOUNT

A WHEEL OF TIME COMMUNITY

Special Collectors Final Edition

This is an idea that has come to me several times and is something that would need support from this community to gain some momentum.

How many people would pick up a massive leather bound book with metal crimped corners, stamped with the snake-wheel symbol that contained the final three books in a single copy? A super collectors edition per say. TOR could use a potion of proceeds to go towards an amyloidosis research group. What better way to give our thanks to Jordan for breaking the fantasy trilogy in such an amazing way and giving back?

At the very least I think that TOR should donate a certain percentage of sales on the last three books to an amyloidosis research group.

How much would it cost?  $1,000?

14 books, not counting New Spring, right?

That is over 10,000 pages.  Over 3.5 million words.  To put it in perspective, the King James Bible has a little over 750,000 words and about 2,200 pages.

So, about 4-and-a-half-Bibles-big, if we use that really small print that they use in Bibles, and that really thin paper.

Thats a HUGE book to try carrying around.  It would be comically large.  Like those "book of spells" that you see in kid's witch movies.

I'm all for it, but not gonna happen.

Read again.

I'm not much of a collector. It'd look pretty cool, but just end up gathering dust as I'd prefer to read th smaller paperbacks that I'd already have.

Sanderson told that he would press for an omnibus of the 3 last books.

That might be nice; though right now I think I prefer books of same relative size.

The number of pages (of any book) would depend on at least these things:

-size of pages

-number of 'page breaks'

-the amount of text on each page
