What are your reasons for revealing? And to say it's different than Pandy is not a reason, and actually it isn't any different.

 

You weren't in any danger

You haven't got a viewing of a mafia to reveal.

You do not help the Town by doing this

If you are telling the truth you put a target on your back and put the healer in an awkward position, especially as it's only 50/50 chance.

The role would only be 50% chance successful anyway!

Extremely valid point Pete.  Those are rather wide odds on being able to get an accurate reading and if you are wrong you can chalk it up to "it must have been the wrong reading".  And the whole "lynch me if I'm wrong" thing does speak of you WANTING to be lynched.  Your odds would be VERY good that that is EXACTLY what will happen... unless you throw a teammate under the bus.

I did and you are risking your game life on a fifty percent accurate reading, you are either to sure of yourself and you know you will get scum (Lynch a teammate) or you are taking a shot at hitting an innocent where you could then get yourself lynched, (Jester)

I've been modding my game, and playing mafia left right and centre, and am currently saturated with mafia. I am doing too much at once.

 

I just want things to get moving. This game is going at a snail's pace, I want to get moving and catch scum already. This is a DPR game, the best of the best, and I really want to get into it ASAP.

With a finder role 50% is not better than nothing. 75% would be better than nothing, because there'd be a good chance of getting a favourable result. 50% chance means you have NO idea if you got the correct result back or not. You're just as likely to peg a townie as scum as you are to peg scum as a townie.

 

So. A 50% finder is a waste of space in the game, and a really dumb reveal.

Except that the reason it’s stupid is that you now claim the healer to yourself for the rest of the game. Effectively we now don’t have a healer… unless the healer disbelieves you. And that’s why we don’t role reveal.

50% accuracy means that you may or may not have accurate info in your inbox come tomorrow. You will never know. That’s what makes this role useless. You could be told a townie is evil and evil is evil and townie is townie and evil is townie. That’s 2/4 useless days.

 

Telling what the role does will not make it more accurate or useful. It’s too easy for scum to hide under this type of prohibition.

Not really dumb because he could be using it to try and confirm his innocence and lend weight to his vote. Only thing about that is he could be mafia and expected those results. But then surely someone in the town would have noticed it, and he had to realize the risk so he could be town.

 

And after all that, Rey stands a better chance of being scum then innocent, all that above was just for fun.

We don't know if there is more than one finder/cop in this game. And if you reveal before you are about to die, then immediately everyone thinks your scum trying to save yourself.

 

God people, I'm sorry if it was a bad reveal. I'm not a mafia god like half of you are, I've played a few games and just really enjoy the game. If I made a mistake you think is bad enough to make the town lose, then kill me  :(

I would go further than Alys.  A 50% accurate finder might as well be vanilla townie.  Imo, vanilla townies shouldn't reveal unless they are about to be lynched.  Same with 50% finders.
