Netflix on Wii

The union between Netflix and Wii was made official recently, but has anyone heard anything on the timeframe or how it will work? I read something about a disc you have to use... anyone have any idea on this?

It is coming this spring at no cost (if you already pay for netflix).

 

To get started, you’ll need to request a free Netflix instant-streaming disc. As with the PlayStation 3, the special Netflix disc needs to be in your Wii to gain access the Netflix service. The Xbox 360 is the only console with built-in dashboard integration. Nintendo claims that the Netflix experience on the Wii should have a native feel. Customers can navigate through the user interface using the Wii’s remote controller to browse through categories, popular genres, new arrivals, or even view their instant queue.

I won't be suprised, when netflix's contract with 360 is up, if wii/ps3 will intergrate netflix into there interfaces.

I'm glad their doing this.  Nintendo needed to bring something fresh to their system.

I love my Wii, but its browser is the only thing that makes me wish I also had a 360. I'm not a serious gamer, but it is a way to get my TV on the internet without buying a new TV or having my computer tied up with a long cable.
