I agree, Wombat, although I just don't really have anything to say at this point. I feel pretty sure of Rey. Just hoping Torrie and/or Verb will pop in and vote before the deadline.

I'm back.

Ok since Verb has not gotten back yet I am going to [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow] and vote: [glow=red,2,300]Wombat[/glow].

No particular reason besides I think he is cult and we need a lynch before day ends.

Ok, I'm back.  Based on analysis of the last few pages, I surmise that Rey and Torrie are scum.  Torrie has tried to deflect suscpicion onto anybody other than Rey (myself and now Wombat), but ignored the flub Rey made by stating vanilla townie.

Rey is the best choice right now, in my opinion.

[glow=red,2,300]Reyoru[/glow]

I notice that Reyoru is posting elsewhere in Org Games, but not in this thread.  Interesting.  Anything to say in your defense, other than:

Ah whatever you guys. At least I know who to suspect now.

If Rey is mafia, then we know and can get him next time. I don't know what part verbal is playing, so he is the bigger threat to me.

I am not deflect suspicion. I did say that Rey is mafia but I like having a known threat rather then an unknown.

As Jeran (or peace...not sure which) stated, I've revealed my character and have not been counter-claimed against.  It is likely that I am telling the truth, which means that I started this game as town.  Therefore, I am not mafia, nor did I start as cult.  Yes, I could have been recruited, and you only have my word that I have not been.

BUT, I'm urging us to cult hunt, which would be quite a counter-productive pursuit if I was actually cult, do you agree?  Therefore, you can come to the reasonable conclusion that I am not mafia, nor am I cult.  That makes me town.

What do you have to say for yourself, Torrie?  Have you revealed?  If you have, I missed it.

And where is the defense from Reyoru?  If I'm innocent and wrongfully accused, I come out and defend myself.  I don't see that here....which makes me think we are on target.

It does not. You could have been recruited and I do not trust your word. You are too good of a Mafia player for me to trust you.

Urging a cult hunt could be your way of trying to make it seem as if you are on the good side. If I were mafia I would be all over Rey right now just so that it would appear that I was not mafia.

Like I said I like knowing who the bad guys are. I know where Reys loyalties lie. I don't know about you.

That Jeran sides with you makes me wonder if you both are pulling the wool over our eyes.

Alanna: Would you know if Jeran has been recruited?

Posted

No, I wouldn't know it he has been recruited. So, I trust him more than anyone else in this game right now, but not implicitly ;)

Rey pretty much is an absolute threat at this point, though. He said he was a vanillia townie, which is impossible.

*So since I was given a post restriction last night that means that the Grandson is not recruited (based solely on the rules from last game where all recruited people lost any powers they had).  Therefore I believe that Verbal is the Grandson and, currently, unrecruited.

Is the Grandson the one that gives post restrictions? Is this why you believe that Verbal has not been recruited?

Did the Mod tell us that everyone loses powers when they get recruited?

I'm still going with the known and unknown threat. I would rather know than not.

I think the grandson gives PRs. I said that losing powers was based solely on the last game. This does not mean it is accurate in this game.  Rey and Torrie seem much more likely to be threats than verbal based on the evidence.

Actually based on the evidence in this version of the game I wonder if there is even a cult. If there are two solos in the game then which role was eliminated?

Guys I'm gonna have to go LOA for the rest of the month, I've got exams so I'm really sorry. I've enjoyed playing, and I apologise to everyone for being inactive, a lot of RL to contend with. Sorry again and thanks :)

For what it's worth, I'm not the PR giver.  I myself received one the other day, in which I had to say "I don't understand" with every post.  Check it out, and you'll see where I did it for a time.

I think Nae shifted some roles, but I'm pretty sure there is a cult.  And unfortunately, I'm now wondering if Jeran has been recruited to it, for tossing uncertainty into the cult discussion.

Either way, Rey is in our sights (via several players' suspicions) and our best bet for a lynch today.

Can we get a vote count?  :-*

Wombat- Rey, Torrie

Rey- Peace, Wombat, Alanna, Jeran, Verb

"All was quiet. The sudden implosion took everyone by surprise. And Reyoru was gone."

Rey, the Albino mafia man, has been lynched.  It is now night.  You have until 10 am on Wednesday to get your night actions in.

Alright so we were right about the vanilla townie claim being a lie.  It would have been much better had Rey flipped cult, but I can't be too unhappy with taking down a mafia member.  It shows we were right about Rey lying and it is obviously better than taking down an innocent.

Actually, no, it isn't.  At this point in the game, the mafia's numbers might actually HELP the town, as they count against the cult's numbers.

I think we are in crunch-time here, folks.  How about this:  Mafia, expose yourselves.  The ONLY chance you have at victory is to reveal so that we don't lynch you.  This will narrow down our suspects and nail the Cult Leader, which should be our #1 priority right now.  I know the mafia is likely thinking that is a crap idea, but you have no other alternative.  If you don't help us nail the cult, this game is lost....to you AND to the town.

There are a few unclaimed players, and one of them is likely the CL.  NK one of them.  If they aren't the CL, reveal tomorrow and we'll lynch one of the remaining ones.  With a bit of luck, we can chop the cult down enough to duke it out between town & mafia.

Thoughts?

I have a few thoughts....

I'm hungry.  I think I want a glass of ice tea too.  I need a job.  I'm overjoyed that my jackass of an old boss is getting fired this week!

Only if pitted against the mafia alone.  With the cult, it is simply cult vs non-cult right now.  Both town and mafia count as non-cult.

So any death of a non-cult member helps the cult.  We can't afford to lynch non-cult.  Even though I voiced suspicion about Jeran casting doubt on there being a cult in the first place, it IS sorta weird that we haven't lynched one of them yet (or had them NKed).  It leads me to believe that either Jeran is onto something, or perhaps the recruits have been unsuccessful and their numbers are really low, in which case we are in good shape.

I still think a mafia & town joint force is the best way to proceed.  Feel free to poke holes in my idea.

Well assuming there is a cult, and I think there is, then I think your plan makes sense.  What matters is what the remaining mafia player(s) thinks/think about it though.

Day has arrived.  And with it a death....

Wes' arms were wrenched behind his back and a blindfold applied to his eyes.  He was dragged unceremoniously to to stairs and tossed down.  Ever the smart ass he said, " As...you...wi..."  His only regret would have been that the stairs snapped his neck before he could finish being a smart ass for the last time.

Jeran, Wes, has died.

Posted

Vizzini rubs his hands together and grins gleefully.  He turns to the old hag and when she starts to cackle he joins in with laughter of his own.  Buttercup stares down at Wes broken and battered at the foot of the stairs.  "I really couldn't stand him.  He was always such a smartass with that 'as you wish' crap!"  The old hag pats Buttercup on the back and shouts BOOOOOOO!!!  BOOOOOO to Wes!  And Prince Humperdink!  And that lush mortitian!  And that bratty kid who didn't even want to hear our story!!!  BOOOOOOO!"

With that, the trio turned to the Prince, the mortitian, and the poor little grandson and shoved them off the cliffs of insanity.

Congrats to Wombat, Pete, and Alanna.  The cult has won the game.

Peace, the mortitian:  Winner of the best death scene

“AHA!”

“Aha?”

“Yes…AHA!”

“Aha?”

“You did not know that I am actually left handed!  I have taken you by surprise!”

“But you drank the poison.  What does being left handed have to do with that?”

“I tricked you.  Admit it!”

“You drank the poison which I gave you.  How did you trick me?”

“I drank it with my left hand…..wait…you gave me poison?”

“Yup.”

“You tricked me?”

“Yup.”

*Dies*

“Imbecile.”

Torrie, Prince Humperdink:

Humperdink turned and saw that his life was at an end. The crowd had found him out and had voted to his death. The princess was out of his reach, as was the perfect kingdom.

He turns and tries to run but is forced back to the lynching stage.

"She will be mine..." He yells before the trap door is released and he falls to his death.
