We do need to lunch someone, I just don't think that picking on one person so that you can resurrect them later, is not a good idea. It gives a good excuse for people not to think and just bandwagon, plus it gives a place for mafia just to follow the crowd. So lynching Peace is not going to get us much info, because he has offered himself up for a lynch and people will just jump on his idea.

 

We still need to be looking for Mafia!

 

I agree, I don't think this is going to be as simple as resurrecting someone back to normal! It might be they lose a role ability or it changes, they change alignment etc...

 

 

 

Talya, I'm inclined to agree, but this makes me very nervous. Peace may have just created a situation where he is more or less unlynchable. We won't look at him again. That would be a mistake. Take it from someone who just won a game doing that. I agree we should look somewhere else for today's lynch, but keep an eye on him.

 

And now I'm getting mad at Meesh. Playing in every game but mine. And even after I played in hers! *pouts* Just kidding, sweetie, about the mad part, not the pouting part.

What if he is mafia trying to create a WIFOM? What if peace has a jester role, and wanted to get lynched? What if he believes if he is lynched and flips innocent it will narrow down the list of players the finder has to view? What if he is innocent and is naive (Unlikely because he is a good player)?

 

Those are the scenarios descending from most likely to least in my mind.

I'd love to play in your game, but alas, I'm barely having enough time and energy for the ones I AM in. :)

 

Okay, now, game stuff.

 

I agree with Talya that lynching someone just because "Hey, we can resurrect" is NOT a good idea.  Obviously we aren't guaranteed to find a mafia on Day 1, but we still need to try, and at least try lynching for some sort of info.  The lengthy day does give us an opportunity to catch slip-ups and think over scummy behavior, which is a good thing.  And I don't think we should just pick a person and lynch them, because as Talya said, that gives the mafia a perfect excuse to jump on a bandwagon without looking suspicious at all.

 

As to what Lily said about Peace....  I can see where you're coming from.  I am actually somewhat suspicious of him for the idea he's presented, and I'm inclined to keep an eye on him, but it would be pretty easy for people to assume that someone who offered to be lynched must be innocent.  So I agree with warning everyone NOT to fall into that.  That scenario may be the case, but we don't know that, so we shouldn't take it for granted.

I'm not taking anything for granted here, and a player who tries to use his reputation to some degree doesn't look good.
