Are y'all familiar with Highlands, NC? Its about an hour or so southwest of Asheville on the GA/NC border. (Madison County). My in-laws have a vacation home there, its right in the middle of the Nantahala National Forest. Lots of whitewater rafting and waterfalls that you can slide down. Really nice break from Louisiana summers.

the ref's sucked during that game!!!  they were so biased and against the saints.

there were 2 pass interferrance calls the refs missed against dallas, and an unsportsman like conduct penalty against #23 for dallas shoulda been called in the 4th under the 2 min warning.

it was during the play that went for review in the box, when saints were on 1st down up on their 45 yrd line.  #23 picked up the ball and ran, then when he figured out it wasnt an interception he chucked the ball all the way to Dallas's 20 yard line.

well i'm just glad that the saints got the loss out of their system before the playoffs :)  we still have 1st week by, and we still retain home feild advantage  8)

vikings are going down

So I made it to my first Saints game of the year, hoping to see the all time skull#%&$ing of the hated Cowboys. Instead the Saints looked like a damn high school team. Oh well, its just one game. We probably needed a wakeup call going into the playoffs. One win to wrap up homefield + turmoil in Minnesota, things are still looking good.

Late night on Bourbon St. was as somber and subdued as I've seen it (except of course immediately post-Katrina). Tickets or not I'll be stumbling around the Quarter for the NFC Championship Game. That'll be a party for the ages.

Wow more Saints fans in here than I expected, well me too, WHO DAT!  We can dust off the Bucs, win a tough one against Carolina and be 15-1 on the way to a non-Patriot like 18-1...lol  The crazy thing is, since I am a Saints fan and therefore wish ill on the Colts, this is one of the last opportunities to have at 19-0 pefect season since the commish is moving to have 2 games from the preseason moved to the regular season which makes the undefeated mark even higher at 21-0.  GL to any team that can do that.

Most of those are probably non-loyal team switchers. ;)

Lifelong Saints fan as well. Here in North LA the fans are pretty evenly split between the Saints and Cowboys but there's just no way to be a fan of both. I've suffered through decades of bad teams and worse management. College football is still my no. 1 sport though. Geaux to Michigan Leslie. Please.

i'm getting irritated with them as well ...  there is no reason we shoulda lost that game  >:(  i mean, i'm glad they got rid of carney, he was a terrible kicker ....  but wtf with this other dude.  i saw him kicking 65 yrd feild goals in practice before the Dallas game.  this shoulda been a win ...  what is with the saints offense!?!?!?!?!  if only my man Pierre hadn't got hurt  :'(

and if shockey wasn't still injured then brees woudla never got sacked ...

and empy, even though i hate to say it, if he saints keep playing like this they will lose in week 2 of the playoffs,  even with getting the first week by and home feild advantage.

hopefully the saints are just getting the losing games out of their system now before the playoffs.  i'm hoping the vikings lose this last game so that evenif the saints play bad against panthers we still get home field advantage for playoffs.

sucks about my colts too.  but they need to rest their starters so they can be sure to win in the playoffs.

newly minted saints fan (fan since 2006)here; living with a life long saints fan in Southern Mississippi (about 3 hours from the Dome)

and a newly minted colts fan, and only because of Manning and his beat down of Tom Brady in the NFC conference back in  ...  06 or 07.  and no, not because of the super bowl win, but because they stopped the patiroits from goign to the super bowl *grins*   because i love it when the patriots are spanked like a little kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.

i didn't really have a fav team before i moved in with Bubba, i wan't really a fan of the sport, watched the superbowl mainly for the commercails and all i had were teams i didn't like, that list is ever growing btw ;)

teams i don't like

- Dedskins Skins (i dont care for Snider, and i refuse to support anything from Maryland; and yes they are from Maryland reguardless what you say, their stadium is in Landover Maryland :P )

- Patirots (because the stole the super bowl from carolina in 03 and because i detest their team, Tom Brady, and the coach) (except Randy Moss, he's awesome)

- Giants (because of the fans) (though i support Eli)

- Ravens (because a fan hit me with a car when i worked at Fed Ex field *long story*)

- Eagles (because of the fans)

- Dallas (newly added and because they paid off the refs in Saints game)

oh and i dislike any team with Bret Farve on it ...

How about my Panthers though!  EH!  I think Fox has a job for one more year after the past two games.  We beat a good Vikings team and an ok Giants team.  I think the Saints beat us next week because we are hurting...  Smith with a broken arm, Dwill out with an ankle injury, half our O line hurt and some of our D out.  I am excited to see what Moore can do.

i think really it depends on if Peirre's ribs heal and shockey is released from his concussion(sp)

we really need Peirre to get healthy, because lets face it ...  Bell is good but not seasoned enough and we can't rely on Reggie alone.  the man hates beign tackled because he see's himself as too pretty and brees throws to him 85% of the time no matter what.  if it were up to me, i'd make Peirre our starter and put Reggie as 3rd string and focus him on punt/kick returns.

there are also a few other defense plays who have been hurt that i hope will come back.
