Yeah, I only caught a few of those episodes.. The one with Coyote and then the other with the Easter Islands are the only episodes in that arc that I remember

Also the Easter Islands episode sucked because space aliens are a little too far outside the core setup of magic meets modern technology. As its own world in the universe of speculative fiction, it really kind of muscles in and completely takes over. I am utterly opposed to Weisman's "Gargoyles 2198" spin-off concept.

I'm willing to give it a chance, as long as it doesn't get too far fetched

Well, If he does it right, he won't drift too far out of it.  I dunno, maybe I'm just more tolerant of idiots.. *shrug*

Well, over here in right field, it's easy, you know...

Are they actually going forward with it though? Or is it merely speculation?

(I've not actually cared much to find out yet)

Of course not, the series got canned over a decade ago after they turned it over to megahack Bob Skir and he ruined it like he ruins everything he touches. Greg Weisman started it up in comic book form a couple of years ago, starting from the end of the second season (when he left the show), but it had ridiculous delays and poor sales (and frankly wasn't really that good) and so it's gone again. This and several other ideas are just things Weisman had come up with to try and give Disney their own Universe to compete with Marvel and DC. Of course, now Disney owns Marvel, so they ended up getting what they wanted after all.

Because disney has no innovation and can't invent their own things anymore, only buy the creativity of other's and smash it?

I want to be enthusiastic about "The Princess and the Frog" or whatever it's called, but the fact that the alligator in the previews looks torn straight out of All Dogs Go To Heaven does not put me at ease.

I can't imagine a Disney version of In Cold Blood. Even the Hunchback of Notre Dame, which was actually a really good and heavy movie except for the gargoyles, was lightened up substantially.

Well, at least the pigeons didn't provide the chorus..and it could have been worse, with Hudson, Goliath and Bronx singing
