Or perhaps the cult leader is trying to lure us into a false sense of security that the cult leader is dead. ;)

Awesome point.

I've played with Arsis before; he played possibly the most brilliant first game I've ever seen.  No way he posted the smiley for the recruit - he's too good a player.

I can corroborate this, as I was in that game.

Ah yes, the WIFOM.  Is it me, is it Kivam?  Is it both of us or neither?

I would like to point out, though, that Kivam is one of the three who had a chance to be recruited.  A 50% chance.  Not sure if I want to believe that though.

And yet, he got modkilled from apparently contacting someone off-thread without being allowed to.

Except that I said the exact same thing.. I think before Kivam did?  Very close to the same time though and I WASN'T on the mission.

What Kivam and I have both said... that you are the cult leader.  You were the one suggesting it had ANYTHING to do with Cult.. which we don't know.  Perhaps Arsis was a cult member and that smiley broke his PR.  Who knows?  The cult leader. ;)

There's this other factor... in that I know that as far as the masons go.. only the leader of the mason groups got the pm directly from DPR.. the rest had to wait for their leader to send them the pm.  That being said... you were the first person to post to this game. ;)  Says to me you got a pm directly from Dpr.  I figure mason leaders, mafia, and cult leader all got the pm directly from DPR.  All this talk about masons and my claim to be one you didn't buy.  You were one of the ones blatantly against my claim.  That makes me think mafia or cult.

So convince me, Kivam.  What fits the scenario better than what I've presented?

Pretty much everything.

You're going based on a smiley - which could have been anything from "yay, the mission is starting" to "nicely written scene" to "hooray, I'm the cult leader and I get to recruit".

I've played with Arsis before; he played possibly the most brilliant first game I've ever seen.  No way he posted the smiley for the recruit - he's too good a player.

As for DPR's post, I'm guessing he communicated off-thread with a player he wasn't supposed to.  I doubt it was with a zombie - if it was, DPR would have let him live and simply warned him not to do it again, on the "no harm no foul" principle.  If it was with a potential recruit who ended up as a non-zombie, that potential recruit would be jumping up and down saying "Arsis was the cult leader, I know, because he talked to me too early"

Except, of course, that even in that case DPR wouldn't have modkilled Arsis - he'd have just let the non-zombified player out him for the next lynch.

Literally nothing about your suggestion makes any logical sense, except as an attempt to get people to assume the cult leader is dead.  And the only one who benefits from that is the cult leader.

These 2 posts make a hell of alot of sense Im going to [glow=blue,2,300]vote DSage[/glow]

DSage in post #557 you use the words IN FACT and you made two strong plays at Arsis being the Cult Leader. Then in following posts you tried to make lite of that. Why so sure then not so sure at all ?

DSage please point out to me where it says only  people on missions can be recruited by the cult leader ?? Because it seems like thats what your implying

Maybe he was your recruit that violated a PR?

you tried 2 different ways of convincing us that he's the CL, I agree with kivam here.

It looks to me like Arsis may have been part of the cult, he was happy that "the zombie Cult leader will have a 50/50 chance of recruiting an extra player into the cult." I mean, what information do we have that the Cult Leader is starting off completely alone? I know in my BSG game I started the Cult off with one Leader and one Follower.

Despite me first theory being based on me misreading the quote, I have a suspicion that Arsis was in fact, the Cult Leader.  For one, like you said, Lia, he seemed happy about SOMETHING in DPRs post.  And I don't think it was for JVOR's finger landing on Miami Beach.

I use the term 'in fact' quite often, apparently even unknowingly.  To me, it just means that I strongly believe it.

And where did I make "lite" of it?

You have a point there.

Hmm.. he's a mason mate of nae's on the other site, correct. Wonder if he Pm'd her?

Or you.. weren't you his coach last game ;)

Whoa, that is a good way to alleviate suspicion.

Or it could be a ploy to get quick votes off of you.

Screw this, [glow=blue,2,300]DSage[/glow]

you look really fishy right now

it is a possibility, and I know I am gonna keep a close eye on him too. But from what you were saying, and then back pedaling, you are smelling very very fishy.

And theories, randomly or not, are a justifiable reason for a lynch. You never know if they are random or not

Dsages gameplay has bothered me from the start, but until this whole thing I've not had anything to go on. Kivam has sound reasoning, [glow=blue,2,300]vote: Dsage[/glow]

Yep, that's me: evil puppeteer.  Figure of fear in 36 countries.  Mothers use me to discipline their kids: eat your vegetables, they say, or Kivam will use logic to take your free will away from you and force you to vote for an innocent player just because he's acting scummy.  And you'll never even see the strings . . .

Blue glow, right? [glow=blue,2,300]DSage[/glow]  I already said I think Kivam made a good case, as did Nae, and everyone who did also.
