Game Setup:

 

There will be innocents, mafia, and a zombie cult.

 

*The innocents win if they lynch/kill all mafia and cult players.

*The mafia wins if they kill enough players to become a voting majority and kill all of the cult members.

*The cult wins by lynch/killing enough players to become a voting majority.

*Alignments are secondary, though as everybody must win with their team

Days will run 72 hours – Nights are 36. Deadlines will fall on the hour. No late votes/actions will be accepted. Actions will be handled on a first come basis.

 

A mission clock link will be updated in the first thread and will always display how much time is left in a day or night.

 

This game will be played on the DM and MJ boards at the same time – although they will be treated and run as separate games. Players may play in one or both, but no one is required to follow both. They will be very different games.

 

Points will be won and counted at the end to determine which site may truly boast to have the best mafia players. The winner will receive the Cannibal Cup and bragging rights.

 

Missions

 

Missions are an option and are not required to continue the game. However, they are the only way to gain roles.

 

As soon as night ends and day begins, everyone will have the option of “running a mission”. For a mission to run, three players (any three) must volunteer to take part. Volunteers will be first come, and will post in a separate line

 

Mission - Day 1 - DPR / Driver

 

As soon as a Driver, Gunner and Runner have volunteered, the mission will be scheduled. I will confirm by PM that you have volunteered for a spot and you will return the PM with your choice of vehicle/weapon/location.

 

1. Drivers will choose the car to drive. * You may only use each vehicle one time.

 

2. Gunners will choose the weapon to carry. * You may only use each weapon once.

 

3. Runners will choose the location to visit. * You may only visit each area once.

 

Volunteers and choices may be made in any order, however the sum of the choices will determine whether the mission will run in 24 hours or 48 hours. If the mission only takes 24 hours, whatever role is gained on the mission may be used as soon as the players return – even during the day cycle.

 

During the mission, the role discovered will be assigned to one of the 3 volunteers. The mod will choose numbers out of a hat (1 thru 3 in order of the volunteer sign-up) to assign the role. In some cases, 2 roles will be found and 2 players will be chosen. If 3 roles are available, all 3 players will receive a role.

 

Players who are given a role will be notified by PM (to announce that they have or have not gained a role) and may or may not choose to share the results with other players.

Roles featured in this game will be:

 

Cop

Doctor

Witch Doctor

Neighbor

Executioner

Vigilante

Lie Detector

Governor

Tracker

Watcher

 

The only new role is the “Witch Doctor” role, which is specifically designed to cure a player of the zombie curse (any player recruited into the zombie cult may be saved and turned back to their original alignment by the Witch Doctor).

 

Any player (thus, any alignment) may gain any role. So, a role typically associated with the town might go to a mafia player, and vice-versa.

 

There are multiple versions of many roles available in multiple locations.  

 

A Few Other Details:

 

DM and MJ will be treated as separate games and will compete for points. Points will be awarded for performance:

 

A mafia lynch is worth 5 points.

A mission run in 24 hours is worth 5 points.

A zombie lynch is worth 10 points.

 

Points may also be awarded by the mod for:

 

Exceptionally clever smart-ass remarks are worth 1 point.

Exceptional plays are worth 5 points.

Pull off a gambit and win 10 points.

Mod-discretion will cover the rest.

 

You may vote to lynch during the day cycles by voting in [glow=red,2,300]red.[/glow]

 

You may vote to lynch any suspected zombie day or night by voting in [glow=blue,2,300]blue[/glow]. The vote count will be reset to -0- at every dawn.

 

If a player is on a mission, they may not vote at all.

 

All zombies except for the Cult Leader will have a post restriction. Their job will be to hide it, and the PR’s will be subtle.

 

Should a mission only take 24 hours, you will have the remainder of the next 24 hours or until a majority lynch to use any roles gained during the mission. After, the roles will then be used only at night.

 

The Usual Rules Apply:

 

1. If you are not allowed to communicate outside of the game thread, see that you don’t. If I have to modkill your ass, I’m taking 10 points from your team.

2. No spying on Quick-Threads. If you are recruited into the zombie cult, you will be able to communicte with the other zombies and you can tell them whatever you wish – but you may not share any links to any other group conversations.

3. No altering posts. No sharing or screen shots of mod PM’s.

4. If you have any questions, I am available on or off thread  - ask me anything you like.

5. Al the other stuff, blah, blah, blah – and remember, it’s just a game, so be sportsmanlike and all that.

Volunteers will only be accepted after 8 pm tonight (see the game clock). After that, the clock will reflect the 24 hours during which the three volunteers must be made.
