I thought the movie was excellent.  I'm not sure about everybody else.  I was able to see a lot more subtle hints about things in the book that haven't been mentioned in the movie yet.  OWL scores, Harry wanting to be an Auror.  Things of that nature.  I was quite happy with how it turned out.  And I thought it stuck very very closely to the book.  It definitely strayed a time or two, but I think those times were a necessary change for it to flow well in movie form.  I was a huge fan of how it went.

On a side note, Luna was brilliant in this one!  I loved her to death.  That dress she wore to the Christmas gathering was awesome. :D

Not to mention Ron's comedic talents.  He was quite a good laugh. :)

I find it a bit ironic that Harry wants to be an Auror. I know there's always someone out there doing something they shouldn't, but you know he's never going to defeat anyone more powerful than the guy he defeated when he was 6 months old and the guy he defeated again when he was 18.

Let's face it, the guy peaked way too early in his career.

I thought the movie was quite good.  Certainly could have been better, but that's the price you pay with hollywood.  Ah well.

I find it interesting what he will do as an auror, and as the head of the auror department.  I wondered if he would create some horcrux sensing device, as that is the most dangerous part of any dark wizard.

I'm sure there will be some rounding up of Death Eaters that fled after the Battle of Hogwarts, but as it's been said, there's not much left to do.

Also, Cormac McClaggen (sp?) was far better in the movie than he ever was in the books.

Also, what I wouldn't give for five minutes in the Room of Requirements with Ginny..

I was surprised at how much I liked the movie.

I hate the 3rd, 4th, and 5th movies, so I wasn't sure I'd like the sixth.  But it turned out really well!  There were some parts in it that I didn't like, or thought should've been done better (Hermione, Ron, and the birds--it should've been a bit more dramatic, in my opinion), but overall I loved it!

The book wasn't one of my favorites, but it was still very good.  J.K. Rowling is good at what she does.  :)

I liked the movie, as a movie that is. The movies aren't very good at following the books, they can't be because they don't have the time to put every detail in them. As far as following the book, I was a little disappointed, I was really looking forward to seeing the fighting scene in Hogwarts after Dumbledore... you know  :-[ I actually liked the book a lot, but I can't say it was my favorite.

Is anyone else irritated by the fact that we haven't seen Bill or Charlie yet?

I am!

I mean, what is the deal?  What about Norberta and Fleur?  Where's the funny little stories behind that?  Why don't we get the full awesomeness of the Weasley family?

Also, a complaint I've had from the start: WHERE THE HECK IS PEEVES?

So true!

We got ONE GLIMPSE of him in what the first movie?  Second?  A he comes through the dining hall.

Weak sauce.  He's such a smarmy character, and needs to be in more of the scenes.  If only passing...

Jim Dale creates such an awesome character out of him in the audio books.  If you've never listened to them, do it now!!!!!  It is such a rewarding experience of the books.

When I went to the midnight showing I came out with the whole o.O face :P I went and saw it again last Friday, wide awake though this time, and found that it was an awesome movie.  IT was good as movie, but as far as following the book it was horrid. LOL Did like it though *shrugs*

Personally I thought the movie, overall sucked. It had it's moments but they changed...Not too much, but things that I thought were important parts in the book. For instance, completely taking out the entire little battle that goes on at the end between the D.A. and the Death Eaters. This was most likely due to the amount of time they had in which to squeeze everything in, but I was still dissapointed with it. Hopefully the last two movies will be better. Since J.K. Rowling has apparently decided to split the last book into two movies so as to not have to leave anything out.

I was so mad they didn't have that battle, I kept expecting it and it never came!

Did anyone else jump when they were in the cave and the hand came out of the water? I was expecting it and I still jumped a mile high haha

We totally are haha. Those kinds of things get me every time, I don't watch scary movies for a reason, if I did I'd be jumping so much I wouldn't be able to sit through the whole movie haha.

Well you would be fun to watch a scary movie with then lol. It's strangely satisfying to scare a chick during a movie worse then the movie does lol. And the opportunities are endless...Basically any time the scary music starts to pick up and then go quiet real quick. Which is about every 7 and half seconds lol.
