Sarah Covenry's killer.

Who was she? On my first read I always assumed it was Elaida since she had been interested in information about Elmindreda and I have never really thought much about in my other readthroughs. But Elaida is bound by the oaths so it cant have been her.

 

So my new guess is Alviarin, especially since we know she is black ajah later in the books but also since Elaida reveals the plot to Alviarin. Alviarian later also aids Elaida in becomming the Amyrlin through discovering Siuan's plot with the dragon reborn. Any thoughts?

I believe the general consensus is that it was Alvi or Mesaana.

the thread may have not used the girl's name, I didn't recognize who you meant until I read your post. did you try something like novice killed on the farm?

 

I've searched myself and I'm coming either with nothing or 10 pages of posts. I'm positive I've seen a discussion on it somewhere, though.

After looking through WOT encyclopedia (ugh I hate spelling) the novice's name is Sahra not Sarah.

It's explained in the thread I posted the link to but she's the novice who took "Elmindera" (Or what ever Min's real name is) to see Siuan when she returned to the Tower, the novice who was later sent to the farm by Siuan and then killed by an unidentified A.S.

Hi JenLenMom! I am pretty sure the unidentified A.S. that killed Covenry was Liandrin. My proof would be that she was able to attack Covenry because she was black ajah therefore a darkfriend and so her Three Oths were broken.

So you are porposing that Liandrin has learned to travel?  since at the time she is in Tanchico?  Very far fetched.

My thought was that it was Alviarin--she at least is directly stated in the progression of suspicion. Elaida notices Min--with Sahra--leading to her drawing Alviarin aside.

 

Even if she did not do it, i think she commanded it.
