The reason I said I was waiting Mynd, is because I knew you would do this and it was tongue in cheek.

 

The thing is we could go round and round in circles saying what there could be and what there couldn't be and lose focas on the Mafia. I've seen that happen in games too. There could also be two mafia teams, as in the real world, one trying to muscle in on the others territory. The fact is we don't know, we won't know when people die neither we will have only thier allignment, and until the end not know for sure.

 

I think Talya is an "Other" or a "More...Other" because she doesn't want us and the Mafia to realize that she is a threat to both of us.  That is why she doesn't want us discussing this.  Too bad, we have already gotten a lynch on MCS and we still have to wait for deadline.  What else are we going to do but discuss this.....and now you?

 

Where does it say I don't want it discussed, I actually say it is good to discuss, but to not get so absorbed in it, like you are, so that we could lose what we need to do. You are accusing me of being something that we have no idea whether it is in the game or not.

 

Yes everyone can read what they want into what I say and they will, but I could as easily say that you want to focus on this to keep everyone talking about the Mafia!

 

I take it if time isn't up until the deadline, people may still beable to take there vote off mcs. Dsage is this allowed at this stage. If it isn't then we aren't going to get a majority with anyone else. We have done the finder vote.

Actually, that's also a possibility. But reading the flavour text, it seems that there were four mafia on a single team - judging by this quote:

 

"Lombardi focused on the three who had freed him."

 

This doesn't sound like two mafia teams to me.

We could spend all day going round and round the roles we may or maynot have. The trouble is we won't find out until the end. Although it is good to discuss,[glow=red,2,300] we can't get caught up in this and worry more about if there is a cult or anything else. The most important thing is to get the Mafia,[/glow] but keeping this in mind as we go along. I know, teaching you all to suck eggs, but just thought I would mention it, for the newbies mostly!

 

This is where you don't want us to worry about it.  Why? Because you don't want both mafia and innocents to realize that the cult is a bigger problem.  Again, cults need to be stopped before they spread, they are worse than the Mafia because they affect both sides alike.  If there is a cult, then they need to go before anyone else. 

 

I find it quite interesting that you don't want us to worry about this stuff.  Quite frankly, I am surprised that I am the only one who sees this as an issue.  How many of us have you already recruited?

I tholught that Lombardi was a true Mafioso not a dirty cop so there is probably only 3 dirty cops. Unless the second group of dirty cops did not take part in Lombardi's rescue (maybe because they are tied to a different Mafioso group).

Yes, votes can be taken off until the deadline.  As long as someone has a maximum of votes, votes won't be accepted for them (until someone unvotes).

Talya, you are trying to distract us from a true threat.  You want us solely focused on the mafia so that we ignore the other potential threats, which are as much a threat to the Mafia as to us.

Well.. I do not think we have cult or a 2nd mafia team. I think Dsage has already made it sufficiently difficult for us innocents. But it does not hurt to keep an eye out... I have a feeling there is a godfather.. Not necisarily a recruiter, but one that comes up innocent in findings......

I'm posting this as an inexperienced player, so don't jump down my throat if the answer is obvious. Now looking at the solo roles which cosmicpanda gave a cite to one jumps out at me. The Jester who wins by getting lynched. I ask myself why has MCS repeatedly made so many mistakes? He looks suspicous, he gets a reprieve by Mynd's posts. He changes votes and edits his posts to hide the fact. He wiggles out of it (at least partially) by claiming he is the Doctor or healer then spoils this by claiming he is not a cop but a doctor. Now these could all be mistakes that are scum tells or simple newbie mistakes but could he  be trying to get lynched instead? What are the possibilities that DSAGE through in a Jester to a game of cops? I would like to hear from the more experienced players before decision for myself.

A no-vote doesn't benefit anyone, but a few people like Danya always do it. There's no real logic behind it I don't think.

 

This was his answer to my suggesting that no voting could be beneficial.  I still believe a first day lynch helps mafia more...and here he is.

 

You don't. Thats mafia. However, when a person speaks common sense, it can't hurt to take what they say into consideration. He's not saying he knows Mynd's alignment, he's saying that Mynd plays a treacherous game no matter his alignment, and thats not really good reason to vote him.

Its almost inevitable that you'll get an innocent lynch on day one Danya, but a vote for somebody is a lot more likely to get information that a no vote, which you are doing. So waiting for more information, but not helping contribute to getting that information is kinda hypocritical.

 

I [glow=red,2,300]Vote Danya [/glow] we have to start building up to a critical mass to lynch someone and Danya not voting at allnot only does not help in getting information but limits the ability to get 8 votes for anyone. Thus, it may not be a great reason, but its mine and I will stick with it.

 

Verbal aside, its a stronger reason than anyone else has got.

 

We should look at who else voted for Danya.

Don't get pissy with them for calling you out for being inactive Dany. I just went through the entire thread and not one did you ever mention being inactive or list a single reason why. RL is a legit reason, but you have to use it before you can get mad at them for not taking it into consideration.

Ok... the unholy triumvirate: Danya Thorum and Mynd.

 

Danya - Its a no win, either you go with your usual path (which others do too, I know... Far being one) and you get voted for, or you vote out of self-preservation and people go after you for not being yourself.

 

Thorum - Its always the same, you vote for inactives and people who don't vote, people target you.

 

Mynd - Headache inducing as ever, but nothing rings a bell as being any more scummy than you usually are.

Verbal: You seem to have a vendetta for Mynd, did he claim your eldest son as his slave or something? You've been targetting him since the start of the game, and while your arguments are reasonable, I don't think you've read another persons post in the game.

 

mcs: You are jumping all over the place, originally you were agreeing with other people cause you liked what they said, and now it looks like you're voting Mynd out of frustration to his constant inane posting.

Tayla - Where does it say that she HAS to post her viewings? In fact, if I correctly recall, she doesn't have to, however, she's wasting the day for everyone and won't get another chance to reveal her findings after day ends unless we vote for her again.

 

It's clear to me that I have left some matters untouched in my rules.  So, I will clarify them here and add them into the rules.

 

If, by the end of the Day a majority has not been reached on the Lynching Ballot, the Day will end with no death.  If the same happens to the Finding Ballot, no Findings will be revealed.

 

You, as the Players, want to get the Finding Ballot done well before the deadline.  If the Player who 'wins' on the Finding Ballot does not post his/her Finding results (real or imagined) by the end of the Day, they will lose their chance to reveal and will need to start fresh the following Day - meaning volunteering themselves for the Ballot and going through the entire process again.

 

If a player is Modkilled, their alignment status will not be revealed.

 

I hope that clears up some issues.

What type of game was it, was it a vanilla mafia game? It just seems that in a game with all cops something like this might be a concievable role. Moreover, I distrust that MCS was a prolific poster until he got seven votes on him then he stops posting, its suspicous but I guess I will concede the point if no one else thinks its a possiblity.

He's got 6 votes now...and still hasn't posted.  Maybe he is just busy...but really I think we are distracting ourselves too much.  Let's find the mafia guys.  (OH nooooeeeesssss MYND...that must make me a cult member.)
