The Gleemen's Tale!

Hello my wonderful Kinsters!

 

It's AUGUST!  That month of seemingly nothingness.  That time between summer and fall.  That moment between vacations and looking ahead to the holidays.  The days before D*Con and school starting, and the hours of anticipation of new fall TV shows.  Who will be on Dancing with the Stars this year?  LOL!  Whatever else it may be..August is the the time for....

 

The Gleeman's Tale!

 

One of our Kin Traditions is the Gleeman's Tale!  This is where our Kin shine with thier writing talents and imaginative storytelling skills!!  This year, our Elegant Eldest has suggested a little differnt approach though!  Instead of just asking everyone to write a story and submit it for all to enjoy..this year it will be a joint project!  First we will be creating the general story...the theme, plot, characters etc...then our ELegant Eldest, Lor, herself will write our Tale!  Ahh..but there is a twist...her tale will have NO ENDING!!  *grins*  Thats up to us!  Yes my fellow kinsters...our Gleeman's Tale will only find it's ending in the creative imaginations of ourselves!  Keep an eye on the Gleeman's Tale thread for more info and what you'll need to do!!

 

August is also the Book Exchange month!  Earlier this year, when we were talking about this...we seemed to think that it would be easier and more fun to do a BOOK MARK exchange!!  Be sure to signup! 

 

And of course August means its time to go Back to School!  Some of us that don't get to..or have kids to send to school get all misty eyed and remember the good ol' days! LOL  But for many people this is a time of stress..either from pulling together lesson plans, going back to a schedule of early to rise and a million extracurricular activities  and finding the money for all the required school supplies, clothes, etc.!  So we're going to cater to both!  A thread for School Memories and a thread to talk about School Stress Busters!  Things like healthy snacks, schedules..being good to yourself when you only have a moment or a penny to do it, and how to be supportive!

 

Also..be on the lookout for some Kin Raisings!  *winks*

 

Even though August may be one of the 'tween times...in the Kin it's our time of Tales, marking our places and Schooling ourselves!
