JLM, you seem very determined that we should vote Loki rather than Mynd going so far as to say

You said this in full knowledge that if we fail in getting a mafia today and the mafia NK successfully tonight we lose. This furthers my suspicions about Mynd and now you. However if you can give me a decent case against Loki I will reconsider.

 

 

 

That's because I'm pretty sure Loki is mafia, so if we get one today that betters our odds. and now with this healer claim I'm for sure hesistant to lynch mynd unless we get a counter claim.

i think at this point, if there is a counter claimant out there, its best from them to claim. usually i woudnt say this,  but with out the finder, the healer is out best chance to win this. if there is another healer then gogo is almost definatly evil, and if gog is the healer, then i would strongly advise against only considering protecting yourself.  idealy we want to lynch a mafia today, but if worse comes to worse, with the current numbers well will need to healer to stop the kill tonight. and to do that youll either have to out think the mafia, or pick at random and get lucky. there is an alternative, and this way actually gets us more information, if we all vote no lynch, then whatever the nightkill  is tonight should narrow the field, and if its blocked gogo can tell us who he protected, and then tomorrow we will either have 6 to chose from to lynch, or 5 if there is a night kill, which will probably help us, since there will be less to chose from, and we will be in control (more) not the mafia

, we'd have no way to know if the 'Healer's' telling the truth. The Mafia aren't going to say "Yes, that's right we did try to kill so-and-so." All they'd have to do is not kill anyone and he can pretend to have 'protected them'. It proves nothing. You are looking better and better as Mafia.

You can vote No lynch, but you must place a vote in a majority by the end of the time limit. Failure to do so means I will kill the person with the most votes, or random if there is a tie. A No Lynch vote will stop a modkill, but again, you need to actually vote No Lynch. This only guarantees a No Lynch; the mafia will still have their night kill.

 

As a mod I want to caution you though about going that route. I'm sure our more experienced game players can point out the dangers of a No Lynch at this point in the game. I would, but I'm trying to stay as neutral as possible.  ;)

So, you guys sweat me to admit that I am the Healer, and then still suspect I'm Mafia after I do. Sounds more like a Mafia ruse to try and out me in front of everyone.  Very pathetic, really. 

 

So, now that the Healer is out of the medicine cabinet, we can begin to deduce who is mafia and who is not. 

 

After looking at the voting scheme, and the sheer attempts to build a case on the one person who we all KNOW is not Mafia (me, the medic with the most) here is how I see it.

Right now, JLM is the only one that reeks of Mafia.  If she was innocent, she would not have been so quick to go after me.  Loreina the same reasons....they want me lynched because I am the Healer.

To put it the best way I can.. .a no lynch gives us zero opportunity today to try and get a mafia while giving the mafia their nightkill.  True, we may hit an innocent today and be in trouble... but with a no lynch thingie we start tommorow with even less shot to get our mafia.  I'm no good at explaining this stuff and I was up all night not feeling too great but there you have it.

I don't think Loki is Mafia because he tied with Verbal and could have been lynched in his stead. If he were Mafia, I believe his buddies would have swayed the votes elsewhere and it wouldn't have been much trouble since there were only 3 votes on each *nods*

 

And as long as there's no Healer counter-claim, we have to believe that Mynd is innocent too, no matter how very very odd his behavior.

Yes but if mafia were seen trying to get votes off of loki so early in the game and he did die in the lynch, that's gonna cast suspision on anyone who was rallying for his innocence.  Better to let one go then and celebrate with everyone else to take the heat off.  And Mynd you STILL haven't told us how you're so SURE that loki is innocent.  With no counter claim as of yet I'm still willing to let you go on that you're the healer, but you could just be trying to draw out the true healer.  I have this eerie feeling I'm gonna die tonight.

Graendal I didn't mean to ignore your post, I just needed to put the brakes on the no lynch idea. It would give the Mafia an instant win. If I were Mafia, I'd not have done that Mynd  :P .

 

Yes, as you pointed out, one Mafia usually tries to stay relatively inactive, to stay below everyone's radar, just as do the Finder and usually the Healer.  ::) That's why I'm so suspicious of Mynd. He started revealing his role through hints long before he needed to, with the Verbal lynch. Not a good idea if you're really the Healer.

 

It's always difficult to judge who's roled and who's just not around because of RL. It's a fine line to walk, too. Too inactive and you run the risk of a NK or a lynch.

 

Luthine, you just removed all doubt in my mind that you are Mafia.

 

I wonder if Far gave us four Mafia instead of just three? If so, we are in trouble.

 

I think we have at least two of the Mafia on the voting grid, Loki and Luthine. It's possible that JLM is also Mafia, in which case they are going to sacrifice one of their own.  :-\ Somehow I don't think that's the case. But they can tie this up and if JLM is an innocent, we stand a 50/50 chance of losing her to a mod kill. We don't need to let that happen when Loki is so obviously Mafia.

The choice tonight seems to be between Loki and JLM. Some people are adamant on Loki, but I do not see it, really. To me it looks like he has simply been defending himself to avoid a lynch. I will have to re-read the thread one more time. However, in my opinion JLM has been very active in lynching him, I simply do not see why. On the no lynch, it seems to me his neck has been hovering in the noose for quite some time, so aside from humour, it is just an attempt to distract people from voting him. I think a no-lynch would be a rather unlikely thing, we cannot win unless we actually try to find the mafia. On general grounds, lynching Loki would probably be a good idea, but lynching an innocent now would be fatal most likely.

Thats it....thats the connection right there.  Of course, Verbal would hop on the Loki bandwagon to maintain the tie, to do otherwise would have been suicide.  The Mafia didn't care because both Verbal and Loki were innocent.  Either way, an innocent was going down weather a tie or someone else changing their vote, so they kept it right there.

 

GFave...based on Lorei's reaction to your voting JLM, I'm positive that you are innocet...and that pretty much clinches Lorei as Mafia as well.  The only thing that would put doubt in my mind is if she switched her vote to JLM.....but she would't DARE do that now would she?

Sorry Far, I was looking through the post for a number and wasn't thinking about the equals part. With 8 alive, had there been four Mafia the game would have been over already.

So we have three Mafia and only one chance of winning this game. We need every innocent to vote.

 

Maybe I'm falling into a Mafia trap, I don't know. But Loki's too experienced a player to suggest a no lynch that would give the Mafia the win. It would increase the odds of him getting lynched, and not distract anyone Graendal. He was hoping we'd not do the math and fall for it. Clim warned us he's sneaky.

 

And Luthine and Graendal, I am well aware of the danger of lynching

an innocent. That's the only reason I'm fighting so hard.  I am also aware that it's possible that JLM may be Mafia. This is after all, ALL guesswork based on logic and deduction. But I play the odds, and I say the odds favor Loki right now more than anyone else.
