Ladies and gentlemen, uh, we've just lost the picture, but what we've seen speaks for itself. The Corvair spacecraft has apparently been taken over -- 'conquered' if you will -- by a master race of giant space ants. It's difficult to tell from this vantage point whether they will consume the captive earth men or merely enslave them.

One thing is for certain: there is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here. And I for one welcome our new insect overlords. I'd like to remind them that as a trusted TV personality, I can be helpful in rounding up others to toil in their underground sugar caves.

This is probably some kind of inside joke/reference to an obscure movie/tv show that I don't get, but I just want to ask if these are the kinds of insects that build boats to get across rivers, and does that mean we have to set fire to the entire village to get them out?

Little Known Fact #346:

The "underground sugar caves" were the inspiration for my pudding mines.

I like the idea and plot and characters of Lord of the Rings, I just hate the presentation of the thing. Tolkien writes like some strange combination of Keats and Dickens; it's very good, very descriptive, but it goes on and on forever
