Berelain

The Children, while distasteful, need to be brought to heel for the final battle.  A friend and I have debated this.  She has a theory that Berelain will fall in love with Galad and bring them 'into the fold'.

Considering Galad's disposition, I find this hard to believe, any thoughts?

I had always just kind of assumed that Galad was the “Man in White,” she was going to fall for.

I don’t know how she’s going to bring him into the fold though. The Whitecloaks see Rand and the Aes Sedai as dark friends. Just wait until they run up against Rand’s Asha’man.

I have a problem with Galad anyway. He supposedly always does what’s right. How is it right to join a group who want to hang both your mother and your sister as darkfriends, when you know full well they’re not?

galad brought into the fold may be possible thru berelain but how is galad going to persuade the rest of the children of the light to do the same. it seems more likley that he will end up with a dagger in his back courtesy of child byar or dain bornhald if he tries.

Byar and Bornhold are his boys now and have been ever since he put that bastard Valda down for a dirt nap and led what remains of the Children away from the Seanchan.

I'm not sure that's going to be enough to change the way they feel about his relatives.

He had his followers, Byar included, listening and considering fighting along side anyone who would oppose the Seanchan, Aes Sedai included, and then at Tarmon Gaidon before the end of the prologue of KoD.

Berelain and Galad hook up.  Despite he fact that it's liekly going to happen, it gives me the humorous vegetables.

I too think that Galad and Berelain are going to get together, which will make Perrin very happy. Though Galad bringing Byar and Bornhold with him may cause some trouble for Perrin.

And the children following Galad have already agreed that they will stand alongside Aes Sedai in the last battle, and against the Seanchan.

Galad is going to bring the Whitecloaks back to what they originally started as, a Paladin type order who actually tries to find Evil in the world, not just gain power. I feel that after the last battle if the Whitecloaks are still around thier view of the one power and Aes Sedai will alter.

If it doesnt then they will just get wiped out. Aes Sedai may have a problem with blasting you into next week but the Ashaman dont seem to.

in the viewing Min has doesn't she say that Berlain will "fall head over heels" with a man from Murandy

She says in Lord of Chaos, Chapter 50:

Well, she'll be snubbed up sooner or later. I saw nothing of any use to you. Just a man in white who will make her fall head over heels. Some women have no shame at all!

The ruling family of Mayene claims to be descended from Artur Hawkwing, and uses the Paendrag name. The man or woman who rules Mayene is styled "the First", which once meant the first lord or lady.

Heh. One day im just going to start making things up, and see whether anyone calls me on it.

Yeah, so, anyway, after he dumped Lanfear, Lews Therin decided to experiment with the other side--an experiment that left Demandred shattered when he met Ilenya and moved on, and also earned him the title the Rainbow Lord.

What do you reckon? heh.

You just made that up. What actually happened is that LTT experimented with the other side before Lanfear. The relationship eventually ended badly, which led to LTT going with Lanfear on the rebound. Eventually he ditched her, and started his relationship with Ilyena, but had already planted the seeds of betrayal in the spurned Demandred and Lanfear. You are right about the Rainbow Lord part, though.

It always bothered me that Rand didn't use the fact that Lanfear followed LTT around like a dog.  If she was so besotted, Rand should have given her a tumble, then told her to go stand in the corner until he wanted her opinion on something.  Might have worked.

No no no, what actually happened is that Lanfear was a man originally. After Lews Therin dumped him for Ilyena, he decided to get a sex change and see if being female at would entice Lews Therin back...

we should really stop now

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Lanfear isn't like Aran'gar.

Of course, Belthamal never wanted the sex change that the Dark One gave him...

I always thought Demandred would make a fine gay character.

And I always thought Mat should be at least a little bi-curious.

Aside from that it seems like Randland is overflowing with lesbians and women experimenting.  Mercy!!!  If this keeps up the Black Tower will end up being a big gay bathhouse after Tarmon Gaidon

The Pink Tower?

Isn't Logain from Murandy. He and Berelain have access to one another and this could be Logain's glory which Min keeps seeing....
