Spoiler Warnings on Posts.

I am new to this forum so i dont know the...ah...customs, yet. But i have noticed that people seem to have no regard for spoilers. suredly some do, but just as suredly some dont. I clicked what seems to be a harmless post and instaed found a spoiler for what appears to be a pivitol plot point. I was sickened if you must know the truth. i have read almost ever book except the last and that is where the spoiler came for. horrid luck maybe, careless-ness on my part perhaps, but i dont think so. I hate spoilers. they ruin everything. If you wanna chat about certain poitns in certain books feel free, no one can or will or should stop you, after all, this forum is what thats for. However, may i suggest a type of coding on the topics line? for instance if i wanted to mention Midwinter night or Winternigh or whatever its called. i would put my topic as this "Rands Actions on Midwinter Night" or "TEOTW - Chapter One/beginning of book" or something similar?

Sorry, but since KOD has been around for so long, way over two years since it was published, we have the policy of "read at your own risk" on this board.

The sister board, 'Structured WOT Discussions' is a safer place to hang out, since the spoiler policy there is stricter (ie, we actually have one)

Yeah, sorry, I freely admit that I am among the worst for spoilers without warning ... because I figure if you're diving into the discussion, you should be ready for the worst.  -shrug-  Maj is right though, even I try to be careful on the Structured Board.

 

Maybe one of the Mods could post a sticky "Beware, you will get no spoiler warnings here" notice?

plus sometimes you will have a question from one book and the answer comes from 1-2 books ahead.

Robert were talking about Semirahage here there would be a body suit...Skin tight pleather corset with rubber daisy dukes and thigh high polished black stelitos with 6 inch heels. She is supposed to be the ultimate satists after all....(goes for a cold shower now)

Well, I'm fine with a couple of "funniy" remarks when a thread starts to go dead. heck, I've even contributed with such myself.

But in threads like this one, where the original poster has not even had time to react to my response, I'm quite less fine with threadjacking.
