Alys is standing with one hand over her neck, and a pained expression over her face.

"I'm a vampire."

The group is a little stunned. And a little confused. The cross is held up to her, and nothing happens.

She starts to cry, but then it looks like her head is being forced into an upright position.

"I AM A VAMPIRE!"

She cries harder, burying her face in her hands.

"Make it stop, please...."

 

The Admiral closes his book and stands.

"I'm afraid this is only the beginning."

So Alys wasn't a vampire this time, but she (or we) might be next time.

I’ve seen this before. She’s under the compulsion of the blood and through it’s link, the master. I’ve reviewed everything left by the last group before they died and they described the same thing.

“Will she live? Will she turn? Will she just babble on, lie and deceive us?”

“Nobody knows, young man.  You must be patient. We are still gathering information about these masters. What we have gained here is almost too much to have hoed for. We must insure that it reaches the order at all costs.” 

“At all costs? You make it sound as if we were lost already.”

The Admiral looks up slowly, a neutral expression on his face.

“Pay attention young hunter. I am neither fatalistic nor willing to throw away lives in this war against evil. Especially those that have given so much of themselves already. But I must inform you that events have been put into motion that you could never understand, never even imagine. As we speak, it seems that the icy wastes of Fiddmark have been chosen as the battleground between master vampire and elder race. Did the other Admiral or Lord Renfield speak to you about any of this? Do you have any idea what this means? A battle beyond imagination will take place. The most ancient of the masters, the scions of the elder race, and every hunter left to serve will clash. But not like you have seen before. The master vampires that still waste their time fiddling with humans are considered weak by the truly powerful ones. And the elder race? They are more terrifying than the vampires. Every story ever told to naughty children describing huge, terrifying monsters is just a watered down version of the least of them. And the hunters will gather to their aid, as ultimately they are the only ones who could hope to overcome the masters. It will be bloodshed and mayhem. It will be annihilation. You cannot imagine what it is that I must face….

“But we will face it with you! Take us Admiral, and let us battle together!”

“You are brave young one, but your group does not move quickly enough. You should have been done checking each other hours ago. As it stands, the master’s hounds will take you soon, and that only if half of your group does not turn on you and devour you themselves. It saddens me to have to tell you this, but you are not ready.”

The Admiral turns to gaze out of the window into the night.

It's 21 and half hours until the next one might be made

 

Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out how many vampires you potentially have among you?

 

You've got 2 and threequarter days left. if you live that long....

We could have possibly 4 vamps amongst us at this point.

Mon 11/12, 4:30pm EST - I tie Min up.  She's still tied up as far as I know.  Just throwing this in for fun background info. :D

 

Tue 11/13, 6:03pm EST - The game begins with three Vamps. One Master and two servants.

            9:08pm EST - I vote for a mysterious person named "alrighty." Nobody else seems to see this name on the players list, so I change my vote.

 

Wed 11/14, 11:19am EST - Danya, a Vampire, is killed, leaving two confirmed vamps left, one of which is possibly the Master.

          11:19pm EST - DSage is tested and confirmed as innocent. Two confirmed vamps left, one of which is possibly the Master.

            4:05pm EST - bcxanth is tested and confirmed innocent. Two confirmed vamps left, one of which is possibly the Master.

            6:00pm EST - If the Master is still alive, at this point they could have Turned someone. Two confirmed vamps left, and a possible third, one of which is possibly the Master.

            7:57pm EST - Kryos is tested and confirmed innocent. Two confirmed vamps left, and a possible third, one of which is possibly the Master.

 

Thu 11/15,  9:13am EST - Jackdaw, a Vampire, is killed, leaving one confirmed vamp left, and a possible second, one of which is possibly the Master.

            2:23pm EST - Tigara, a Vampire, is killed, leaving one possible vamp left, which may possibly be the Master.

            4:34pm EST - Min is tested and confirmed innocent, leaving one possible vamp left, which may possibly be the Master.

            6:00pm EST - At this point, if the Master lives, they have the opportunity to Turn another.  This leaves two possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            7:36pm EST - FD is tested and confirmed innocent, leaving two possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            9:45pm EST - Ilgross is tested and confirmed innocent, leaving two possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            9:57pm EST - Leelou notices that one of my posts was killed, and is now a ghost post. Mr. Soy Boyo confesses to the murder. Much speculation is given to whether my ghost post may be a vampire.

 

Fri 11/16,  6:31am EST - Leelou is tested and confirmed innocent, leaving two possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            6:00pm EST - At this point, if the Master lives, they have the opportunity to Turn another.  This leaves three possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            7:27pm EST - FDM is tested an confirmed innocent, leaving three possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

 

Sat 11/17,  5:14am EST - Talya is tested an confirmed innocent, leaving three possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

            6:00pm EST - At this point, if the Master lives, they have the opportunity to Turn another.  This leaves four possible vamps left, one of which may possibly be the Master.

So we're testing Loreina now.  Once that's done that leaves reddfern untested. Assuming we manage to test both of them before 6pm EST on Sunday we'll know for sure we only have 4 vamps left to deal with total, 3 if one of the two of them is the Master, and 2 is they both are.

I might not have phrased that last part correctly, so I'll try again. :)

 

4 possible Vamps at this time, one of which is possibly the Master.

 

We need to get both of them tested by 6pm

 

If neither is a Vamp, we know that the Master is dead. This means that the last person able to have been the Master is Tig.  If Tig was the Master, then we may only have one vamp left.

 

If one of the two is a Vamp, then that one might have been the Master, and we could still have three Vamps left.

 

If both of them are vamps, then one of them might have been the Master, and we could still have two more vamps left.

Loreina leans back in her chair and laughs

'It took you long enough!" She holds her hands out in front of her and spreads flames across the room. People are screaming, beating flames off of their clothing. You know better. You close your eyes and concentrate. There is no heat.

"Loreina! Can you hear me?"

"Yes"

"I'm going to bring the cross to you."

You hold it out. She reaches up and grabs it.

The flames instantly die away, the room normal again save for the members of the group in awkward positions because they thought they were on fire.

Okay, we need one more vote for Redfern. We need this in the next few hours too! Before he has the chance to change another vampire, that is if he is the master. If he isn't a vampire then I suggest we start re-testing each person right on down the line. Maybe start with Dsage and go number 7-15 then start with 1 at that point. Because Dsage is one of the ones we tested first. Just an idea. Thank you BCX for the great run through. I just copied your list and updated Loreina.
