This a short version of a mafia style game, played for exactly seven days. We have played two rounds on the Illuminators board, and it plays fast and fun. Several players have requested to play it on these boards as well, so If no one objects, the game will start on Tuesday,  Nov. 12th, 6 pm EST and run through Tuesday, Nov. 19th, 6 pm EST.

RULES:

There are villagers (innocents) and vampires (mafia). The villagers carry a cross and vote to test each other with the cross, one by one.

Once a majority vote is reached, the mod will confirm that the player is a villager or a vampire. Villagers are unharmed and continue to play. Vampires are revealed and destroyed. After the reveal, the group may continue voting right away (there is no day and night).

There is one master vampire, and every day the master will choose a player to "turn" into a vampire (recruit). the master is the only vampire that can turn others.

The villagers win if they find and destroy all of the vampires. The vampires win if they last until the end of the game, or multiply to the point where they gain a voting majority.

This will be the sign up thread, and the game thread. We'll need at least 12 people to play, with no max player limit.

Sign up if you dare : )=

Yeah, sadly the poor souls who sent out that distress letter could not figure out how to make it any bigger. Loki, if you have a link, you are more than welcome to post it (although it's been built up now, and might be a little boring....)

That villages and small towns had been under vampire attack for centuries was widely known. It was just one of the risks of living away from the city. But when a certain master vampire was bold enough to strike Fiddlepool, shock registered near and far. The Southside docks were no longer safe at night, even for the scum that trafficked there.  Nor were the brothels or gambling halls where one seldom gave a damn over his or her own safety. Even the stylish Upper End was not immune, and where once socialites strolled with not a care, the streets now lay empty and not a soul could be found out of doors.

Through the millennia, only the most powerful master vampires were able to weave their hypnotic spell over an entire town. But never had one sought to take over a city. Never had one struck such a cord of fear through so many that the very foundation of our evolution was threatened. Never had so many innocent souls been tormented, been thrashed into a state of fear so intense that the very breeze was alive with the scent of panic, and terror, and death.

And so one of Fiddlepool’s best men took it upon himself to call the only savior that he knew. He sent a midnight letter out against all odds to find its way into the hands of a hunter.

This man had laid his own wife to rest, empty of blood and drained of innocence. Three nights later he battled her again as she tried to take the lives of their children. And this is certainly not to be considered a secluded incident, even for that evening. No indeed, this horror was played and replayed the city over, but no other had the wherewithal to send the letter.

And the master who plots to seduce a city was not watching as it slipped past.

And now it lay in your hands. The hands of a hunter. Salvation is nigh. Retribution will be had.

But by whom?

And the city would thank you, but in their hearts they know that nine hunters will never be enough. Not against this….

More hunters must heed the call and fulfill their destiny….

Can you really FD? You sure of that? Hehehe. :) I announce now, I am not the Vampire Master. It's the one armed man behind the grassy knoll. Thank you very much. But yeah, this is definitely going to be something interesting and hopefully faster paced. Especially since innocents have nothing to lose at all they can randomly vote and all they'll find out is if the person they voted for is a vampy or not. No risk whatsoever.
