Happy belated B-day, Tay! Friday was my brother's birthday, too!

Today, I'm thankful that the day care center that I WANTED to put my Peanut into really is as good on the inside as the outside AND they have room for her when I need them to! *dances around* Now all I have to do is get the crying jag out of the way before I go back to work!

Oh, and I'm also thankful that my husband decided to take the three working days of next week off. So, beginning Thursday evening, he's all ours for 10 days. lol, After that, all I have to do is not kill him...

*G*  Put him to work. But do it sweetly. ;)

I was always most greatful for my husband's presense after the babies were born when I needed something done. A load of laundry, clean bottles/pumps, a pillow...etc.  ;D

He was usually happy to do anything I needed, as long as he got his share of "daddy-time," which equals mommy-nap-time.

I'm...thankful that Thanksgiving break is next week?  ;D Yea, I'm craving a vacation, however small, like a person stranded in the desert craves water. School's been brutal, but if I take my hubby's advice and take it one day at a time, soon it'll be time to enjoy a nice long five day weekend.

Today I am thankful that my mother is coming from Ohio to visit, then taking my chatterbox home for a week at which time my Brother will bring her back when he visits.  It will be strangely quiet in the house...lol.

Today I am very thankful that it is the beginning of the weekend!

And on Saturday I'll be thankful again because we're getting a new water heater. Cuz...the old one made a mess of our garage  :'( But I'm being positive!

So that makes me thankful that we're renters, and not liable to cover the expense of replacing the water heater and drywall in the garage lol.

Ah yes, I recently had the privelage of replacing a waterheater about 2 months ago.  Except I own, so it was my expense...woo...hoo.  :D

I am thankful that I have until February to prepare for my physical...cause it may take that long to work off all the holiday food.  ;)

Thanks Lor *hugs*

Today I'm thankful for just being alive and my kids being safe. Been some nasty things on the news here today. A girl from just long the road had been missing for over 15 years. They finally found her remains buried in the garden of a house down in England. Feel so bad for her family and at the same time relieved for them having an answer at last. It's every parent's worst nightmare.  :( They've now found a second body in the same property. *sighs* Thankfully the guy responsible is already in custody but even so.

I'm really glad I have so much extended family within driving distance. I have something like a dozen aunts and uncles (total, not each!), 25 cousins, and a bunch of them have kids. Most of us still live in Southern California, though there are a few stragglers who have moved away now.

My immediate family's included in the stragglers these days, aside from myself. Mom, a brother, and my sister 1800 miles away in Missouri, and another brother up the coast in Washington state. I'll be seeing all of them next week when I fly over for a Thanksgiving vacation, and I'm really thankful for that, too!

Family's totally something to be thankful for. Thankful when you've got them, and thankful for what you had when you haven't got them anymore, like my dad and grandparents.

I am glad my daughter was not badly injured when she wrecked her THIRD car.  Sheesh!

I am also grateful my sister will be visiting from Texas for Thankgiving.  We get along great, now that she lives there, but I still miss her sometimes.

I will reiterate Tay's message.  The safety of your family is always something to be thankful for.  Recently there has been a missing woman married to an Illinois Police Officer, and they have exhumed his third wife, who died under mysterious circumstances.  Not to mention the Shawn Hornbeck, and Ben Owens?? kidnappings in StL.  Extra thankful that none of this has occured within close proximity of my home, but still makes you worry.

*grins*  as always..but worth saying again..I am thankful for each and every one of you!!  And the sharing you all do with me!

I am thankful Old Blue started!  LOL..my husband has a 1948 Willy's Jeep Truck, that is his baby.  He rebuilt it from the ground up, and when we got married he drove it for his main vehicle most of the time!  Four years ago the clutch went out, and several other things happened, money and time were also tight and so Old Blue has been parked in the carport.  About three weeks ago, Bill started working on it..new clutch, battery all those things...and it wouldn't start.  He was soooo disappointed..and had to go back out on the road..well, this weekend he was out fiddling with it and I was helping...he was under the hood and I had the job of turning it over..and it STARTED! YIPPEE!!

Man..the look on his face..I just couldn't help crying...it was pure joy for him!!!  So..I am thankful the old truck started!

Today I am thankful that after a whole weekend of working (I lost count on hours) I'm ahead enough on my school projects to be able to enjoy Thanksgiving with my husband.  :)

And I am extremely thankful for all the friends I've made here on DM in such a short time. I've only been here since September, but the memories I've made here are countless. I even managed to get my husband to peek into the CoL page to watch some funny videos  ;) The seed is planted lol!

I am thankful that today is my last day of work before a 4 day weekend! And we're headed to the in-laws tonight where I can see my boys, again. 4 days without them is just about enough! :D

I am thankful for an above average sense of mechanical ability.  I recently replaced the back door to the house and of course it didn't fit, so I had to improvise...lol

Oh and Faerie, I know what you mean.  Even though I am enjoying not hearing constant chatter, I miss my little princess.  She left Monday for Oba's (Gma) and returns late on Saturday.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

I love hearing y'all chatter about your families and children!!  *smiles*  It is a warm and wonderful feeling that I am thankful you all share!

I am grateful to have you all, the best-est second family a girl could want!

And, I am way grateful that this Thanksgiving the Love of My Life (note the CAPS) ate too much!  It was swell.  Last year he couldn't eat at all.

Love you, much!

ok, having been back to work for three days now, let me add a few things I'm thankful for.

1- My class is a THOUSAND times better than last year's bunch. Aside from being a little chatty, they're absolutely fabulous!

2- My principal (the new one!) is freakin' awesome! She's understanding, she smiles, she's supportive and asks me more about the baby than about my class. *laughs* She also insists that they're happy I'm back... which is also a big boost to my ego.

3- My baby is smiling when I pick her up from Day Care every day (at least, when she's not asleep). She recognizes her mother and greets me with a grin that you can't help but smile back at, every single time I walk into the infant room and into her view.

Christmas is going to be AWESOME this year! *grins and showers thread in confetti and hugs and smooches everyone, then grins at the horrible runon sentence she just typed*
