A few questions.

Angel of Death

I've got a couple of questions, that one of which I have been thinking about for a while.

1) Who killed Asmodean? lol. But seriously. Are we certain that Osan'gar and Aran'gar are Aginor and Balthameal respectively? And not the other way around. If, so is there proof in the books, or was it a statement by RJ?

2) Now my details may be wrong on this. But when Rand used the Portal Stone to go to Falme, Verin said that it took them 3 or 4 months to get there. Now according to earlier in the book Verin left her warder behind when Moiraine 'sent' her to Rand. Now I cannot recall her warder (Tomas?) turning up. So wouldn't he have lost the bond with her during these months, and gone into the warder avenging sisters death mode?

1. Yes, we are. Both respectively make mention to their previous lives as a historian and a researcher within the books. Aran'gar was Balthamel, and Osen'gar was Aginor. Not to mention all the side references about Osen'gar not likely the outdoors and Aran'gar being lecherous--both well known personality traists of their formed selves.

2. The bond seemingly was not snapped which is what causes the death-absortion. More like it was closer to the sensation of the bond when the person is in TAR--the connection is there, but no sense of location.

ok one who the heck is Kat?

2. yes we know which is which, a mountain of pointers gives it off.

3. I firmly beleive that when traveling through the portal stone that it masked it more likely. instead of snapping it was just masked like the usual Aes Sedi mask trick does. the warder knows the Aes Sedi is alive its just he cannot decipher her exact location.

4. in my opinion i think it was Sammuael who killed asmodean. on the grounds that sammueal is bitter enemys with LTT and asmodean teaching his reincarnation kinda sent him over the deep end. thats my theory.

Asmodean told Rand a story about having once seen a man clinging to a few thin blades of grass trying to keep from falling off a cliff. That was the man who killed Asmodean, hence the *real* look of shock on his face. He was the first to raise from the dead, several books before it became a common thing.

Kat (Blessed Be Her Name) is the nice (and only slightly scary) lady who runs these boards for unworthy mortals. She has decreed that all discussion of Asmo should take place in Asmo threads, unless the Asmo discussion should become relevant to some other topic under discussion, which this isn't.

If you would care to post this in one of the designated Asmo threads, I will eviscerate it for you. I'm generous like that.

No, Sammael is one of the ones we know definately did not kill Asmodean. He directly defies it in his own thoughts.
