My name is Lucas Eklund and I'm a simple role less Resident. I win with the Residents. The reason I voted Vemy the other day was I really didn't trust him. I kinda got a lil bored then frustrated with the game the other day when I voted myself. I voted Nae because her reveal seemed a bit rushed and I was also trying to get information. I'm still not sure what to think of all these roles, there have been alot of invented or other words used for roles and its been a bit hard to keep everything straight and clear.

 

I'm not going to be back until later today because it is almost the holidays here and my family will be here tomorrow night so I'm trying to get my place in order and rearranged and cleaned.

just to briefly reiterate, i had tacitly withdrawn from the game at the time of that retraction.  i decided no to penalize a random player because i was in a huff.  i've explained the rest in the last couple of pages, so i won't bore anyone by repeating it.

 

to the rest, DPR, all's i got to say is, when a mafia is caught, they get reeeeaaal talkative.  always.  so, there it is.  i'm not convinced, and i think we should string you up to see what happens.

i waited because ..of the death of the saint (healer/vig right) ie there being no healer there was the posibility of me geting night killed so i was trying to get as much as i could before revealing.

 

and damane is still alive, and aligned as a resident and named, ..so sorry only names ? not so,

 

and because in my pm it didnt say vemy was a resident outright, just like it in my pm i didnt put that.

Gotta love how everyone thinks I'm bandwagoning when I'm voting for some real reasons. I've lost count of how many times I've voted during this game because someone made a very convincing argument, but now twice I've voted because I had a very strong conviction that someone is mafia.

 

But putting more thought into it, there is every possiblity that DPR and Loki are both telling the truth. One is a suedo finder and another a finder. I don't know.

 

I don't want to risk loosing anyone who can help us gather information, but I'm still not convinced. I'm going to give this more thought on my way home.

 

And on another note, I'm really happy to see this thread picking up on activity lol.

his story has changed all the way through the game. first nae got names..but deleted them ..now DPR doesnt get any. oh and his role description is diferent from the rest of us with roles..i mean its posible thats he isnt making this up as he goes along, but also  the name. finder. thats the common name for the role. have any of the other roles been like that. outside-seiral killer, and all the others blah, theres just to much confusion all be nice and simple if we lynch him. i can hope anyway.

Ok...so heres where we kinda risk everything, as I see it there are three different situations...

 

1- Both Loki and DPR are finders

 

2- Loki is the finder, DPR is scum

 

3- DPR is the finder, loki is scum

 

the issues for #1)

While some games have a finder and a suedo finder between Loki and DPR's viewings everyone but Barm has been viewed. Which means that if both are telling the truth then there is only 1 evil reamining, meaning there was only ever 2 prophets. Which with 1 serial killer and the 2 covenant members thats 5 evils of 20 players and that adds up to the usual mafia #. Basically i'm saying this is a possibility but the only way to test it would be to lynch barm.

If loki is the finder then why did he wait this long? He gave an answer and I find it believable: Because our healer is dead. Obviously then the finder should only reveal to prevent his own death or to name an evil. Evidence supporting his claim: Loki knows our names while DPR doesn't. Why only give the good guys a frail finder? And we have discussed this before, the mafia wil never be given a finder role because it would be way too powerful. And unless Loki is a godfather as well as able to view us he couldn't have been viewed and come up innocent.

If DPR is the only finder then why doesn't he get reveals? not even dsage would refuse to give information to the finder (and no offense dsage but if you did that would really be a crap thing to do). Really out of the 2 finder's here I'm leaning towards DPR being the scum cuz I can think of less that makes him seem innocent.

 

In sum:

I vote [glow=red,2,300]barm[/glow]. Guys, the evils arn't gonna risk viewing their fellow evil or else they would draw attention to him/her. And if both are telling the truth then only barm hasn't been viewed. + barm's playing the same game he always does whenever he's mafia, burnt out or not.

 

Barm's been second place on my list of evil choices for sooo long now that with the whole DPR/Loki reveal I think its just safest to lynch barm and give both our "finders" one last night to view each other.

geez this is the most confused i've ever been. of course i have been up for nearly 24 hours, busy times at Wal-Mart before christmas. Anyway, i kind of feel that it is between the Dude, DPR, and Barm. There are a few things that DPR said that just didn't make sense to me so i'm going to [glow=red,2,300]vote DPR[/glow]

I KNOW IT'S A LOT, BUT PLEASE READ IT THROUGH!

 

I'm cool with logic that leads to reveals, absolutely. But I don't want to fall for a classic mafia ploy of drawing your attention to one spot to try and make you forget about what you already know to be true!

 

We have three finder reveals so far - and I think our best chance to find the mafia is in these reveals.

 

Vemy claimed first:  Pg. 24 "I am the scardy cat^^, basically I pm Dsage someone's name during the night and a random action results involving the person. When i received my role i pmed him questions to clarify the nature of these "random actions" and I can heal, finder, paranoid finder, or kill someone. I'd also assume i have other night action abilities such as role blocking etc.

 

The problem is I don't have the ability to control this, its random =/"

 

Then he adds....

 

So let me make this clear: I was *NOT* told that kryos was mafia but was instead told that killing kryos would be beneficial to the town.

 

heres where things get sticky...I can come up with paranoid finder claims...and I wouldn't put it past dsage to give me a paranoid finder claim at the beginning of this game.

 

Later, on pg.32   “Danya, Dsage won't tell me what my night action was”

 

So we have a claim, and the first signs that Dsage is playing a very confusing and hard to understand game.

 

Then we Nae's reveal, deleting of names and confusion, and then the role passes to me and I have trouble even understanding what I'm being given as information ( I'm just hitting the high points because to be fair, it is up to someone else to case me /Nae).

 

Then we have Loki's reveal which is very clear to the point of being smug "I am the "Psychic", sometimes known as the finder" (paraphrased because it did not copy  :P) He states that he asks for names, and seemingly with no trouble and no puzzles, is given the answers. Nobody else get's that! But he does not list all alignments with his reveal! Don't you think if someone had been sitting on a role that long that they would bust out with 'I'm the real finder!!!" and include everything?

 

I don't question that he gets the names, but I do question whether or not he gets roles. And what good are the names really, other than giving him the ability to false claim finder and throw off the real finder, me, who gets roles! Who cares what their names are!

 

Dsage is playing a very complex game. We have roles that we have no idea what they are: "Outsider", "Traitor", 'ScardiCat". What is a Covenenant? And sometimes he tells us things, and sometimes he doesn't. Vem and myself have both stated that our information may or may not be accurate. Loki throws his out like it's been verified and stamped reliable because he knows it is not worth anything! Dsage has changed his mind as to what he will reveal and when, so I find it easier to believe information that jives with this pattern, like Vemy and myself.

 

OK - so out of all of this, what do we do? Even Dude agreed with me earlier when he said that we may not want to depend on the information that the finders are given. To me, that leaves one way to figure out who is mafia: Motive. It's how I found Danya, and now Loki and Dude seem to have come together at the end of the game to work a plan. Nobody else is doing this, which leads me to believe that they are on a team together and are trying to win.

 

My vote stays on Dude because he has raised the most suspicion so far, he retracted the Cromwell Approval, and he appears to be working with Loki.

okay, well this is starting to get interesting now, so for now i will totally [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow]. i think i must have been a little tired, burnt out of something, but now i am feeling better and can pay closer attention. i'm leaning toward the Dude at this point, but i am going to hold my vote until i get a little more information

After much thought on the road (you'd be surprised how much you can think when you're stuck in traffic for two hours) the way I see it is I don't want to risk loosing a potential finder, even if the info he gets is chopped to bits before he gets it. So [glow=red,2,300]unvote[/glow]. If Leelou is telling the truth then she is an innocent, and Loki has revealed damane to be a resident, then that leaves Barm and Dude.

 

Dude has been very adamant about his innocence, which could mean either he is trying too hard to cover that he is a mafia or he is telling the truth. He may laugh if he is lynched innocent, but I certainly wouldn't.

 

And Barm...who has been burnt out the whole game, so to speak, and toughed it out even if getting a replacement for himself might have meant a more valuable player for the innocents in the long run. Or he is laying low because he is and may be the last mafia. I did watch several mafia games before deciding to play this one, and Barm was in a few. And he was very talkative and contributed a lot to the games he played. But like before, his change in attitude could either be because he's burnt out or because he doesn't want to raise suspicion.

 

So those two never ending thought circles run through my head, and no way to tell who is good and who is evil. At this point I'm going to vote [glow=red,2,300]Barm[/glow] not only because of the rising suspicions piling up against him and because my intuition is telling me that something is definitely not right (I feel sad to be using intuition this very late in the game) but because if he really is burnt out, then this would probably be a blessing for him.

 

And one more thought I had on the road...if we innocents have two finders, maybe there are two healers as well? I mean, it would certainly explain why those who have role revealed haven't been night killed.

 

Either that or one of the revealed people is lying through their teeth and we're playing right into their hands.

 

After spending so long to type out my thoughts, I hope my vote isn't labeled as a bandwagon for once. I don't know why but the term sets me on edge. We're pretty well divided up here, aren't we?

So that puts everyone at two, and I'd like to also point out another thing in my DPR/Loki are both finders theory: DPR got Danya killed and Danya said something in her death post about having pmed Wes that she had an evil role when he died so we know she was a baddy and he did a good thing. This doesn't prove innocence but it does help his case.

 

Guys, vote barm as its the only safe bet.

My role is Overlord. Thats the alignment you'll get from me, however, I win when the town wins. What did my role do? I got to look for the Outsider, if I found him, we became a 2 man mafia team, with normal mafia win conditions. To search for him I'd submit a name at night, and would be told whether or not I had found him. He did not know I was out there.

 

As the outsider died so early in the game, that makes my role useless. And there you got it.

Just a quick reply to say that I won't be on much with family in town for the holiday. I know several of the other players are busy with the same, and then Dude is out for the weekend.

Realistically, I can check in a couple of times a day (unless I pretend to come down with the flu and then move a computer into the bedroom....I'm going to keep working on that idea).
