Current Warders Roster!

Here is the current roster. If you are not on it and a member of the Warders, you did not respond to posts that required a response. All members that have been removed will have to get in touch with me immediately by PM or you will have to reapply to become a member again. You have til April 30th.

Wait...since Eire's on the list, does that mean that you talked to him recently? I'm wondering because several of us have been trying to reach him for two months with no reply...

He's on the list because it's a long standing custom that members that get to der'Manshima they can take LOA's for however long. That reminds me that Hammar Gaidin is on that list also.

This may sound a silly question, but why am I on the avatar list?? And what is the difference between avatar and der'manshima?

Because you have other responsibilites that do not invole the Warders. That way you aren't pegged for additional responsibilities, but you still have input.

I'm tech admin, I've have other responsiblities that do not involve the warders...If Corki's a member of the Warders Guild why is he put on Avatar, he's apparetnly active here... I don't care where I'm listed I just want to make sure things are understood, cause right now it's confusing.

He's in charge of another org. I suspect his time will mostly be filled running that org and not hanging out with the Warders. If you think, Mat, that you will not be spending that much time with us, I will place you in the Avatars, but we will of course always value your advice.

 

Der'Manshimas are mainly for the purpose of delegating authority, the active der'Manshima I can give additional responsibilities to without pulling people away from other things they need to do.

 

Avatars are those who have already done their part for the Warders and don't have to take on additional responsibilities, they have a voice in expressing their opinions, but they are not involved with the daily running of the guild. If they want, they can become active participants at any time by expressing that they wish to participate and contribute more.

 

I thought that you, Mat, had decided to return and see how things go. You can, of course, change your mind if you want.

I think having two seperate groups is going to be too confusing. I also don't think that having a staff position elsewhere will preclude being an active member of the Guild. Der'Manshima is der'Manshima.

Heh I like being an Avatar, with my DM life being a permanant LOA with interuptions of activity and most of that being with the greens it suits me fine, it's kind of like having people who are full members, but they've been around sooooo long that they just kinda flit in and out.... I don't know makes sense to me.
