Recruit me :D

So I’ve decided to make another Aes Sedai character, or rather, to remake one I made ages ago for the Gray Ajah. I won’t be playing her for the Gray Ajah, because I know myself… she’d just go black again, and seriously, I’ve been there and done that twice already. So it’s time for something new, but what? I’ve been pondering on Green and White, but I realised that there’s no point in limiting myself. I should open myself up to all Ajah’s.

This is where you all come in. Recruit me! Persuade me to join your Ajah! Make my choice a difficult one! Exclamation mark!

Anyway… go forth and tempt me ;)

I am honestly not good at recruitment spiels and I do my tempting rather privately anyway ;) But basically you either have an interest for Browns or then not.

Too often Ajahs try to be something for everything but Browns do have a focus and that is preserving knowledge and gathering and creating new morsels for the next generations. There are several fields that you can be interested in and this specialisation allows a ton of cool opportunities from tomb raiding ter'angreal hunter to a cunning librarian who would go to surprising lenghts to obtain that one manual from the stubborn noble lord.

If the Brown Ajah would suit your sister but you're not sure, the best I can promise is to keep you well provided with fellow Ajah Sisters to RP with and cook up insane RP ideas with you :) If the RP is in the Tower, Arette is kosher but if it's outside, I can use NSWs.

I'm glad we still get to keep Faerzyne hun! :D And great idea to start browsing the other Ajahs, so many colors, so many choices! *g*

Arette said it better than I, considering I'd normally just say, "You know if this character is to be Brown or not, and no amount of recruiting and wooing will bring you our way otherwise."

I will add that the Brown Ajah is an EXTREMELY versatile Ajah; you can't pin us to one stereotype if you really wanted to for style of RPing.  We can be found hiding in the Library, or off and abroad doing who the heck knows what!  I know that in incarnation one (DM 5), Raeyn was going to actually work in art collection and preservation :)  Now that she's older, she's quite content to putter around the Tower doing scribe work and other on-site text preservation while the younger Sisters go gallavanting off researching whatever their little hearts desire <3

I should probably be one of those people that says... 'do what feels right for the character you are making' and all of that... but... um.... I don't wanna today :P

GO GREEN! Why?  Because we kick butt, we get to do what we want (drinking? men? sword fights? Youbetcha!  All at the same time?  Why not?!)  We also have political intrigue, masked women, and beautiful damsels who are not in distress (well.. not the kind that need a man to get out of... unless you want a warder and that's a whole other benefit!)  And last of all.. you know you love me.  You want to bond me AND create people that would like to befriend Ara :P  :P

I'll help: pick a mission or 'life cause' first and then see what Ajah fits best. :)

Did that help? Just a little? ;)

What she said, honestly.  Perhaps tweak some things in the character's past, or perhaps go Portal Stone style and do a "what if?" on her - just pick some arbitrary point in her development that you'd consider significant, and flip it the other way around.... it might lead you down an interesting new road.
