*bows to the great and merciful Kivam*

;D

WHAT WE KNOW:

The movie was in the theatres between 1996 and 1999.

This movie was never nominated for an Oscar.

The film takes place in the 20th century.

At least some of the cast were already established actors.

The film wasn't a great success... it grossed less than 40 million at the box office.

It is not a comedy geared toward adults.

It can only be a comedy geared toward kids or families, a family movie or a mystery.

It is a live action movie, not animated.

The title has more than two words, and contains the letter "e"

Q16 is the next question to be asked, seven questions remaining.

I'm curious if this movie was even released in theaters. We know box office was less than $40 mil, but that includes $0.

Since I like the bowing, I'll be more merciful: that question was implicitly answered already  ;)

some of those have 2 word or fewer titles, Sin

I was basing it off of cad's condensed list which I read in passing and may not be 'complete'. Though looking back My eyse passed the 'more then 2 words in the tittle'

I also stated that is not a complete list by any means, and to take it at face value. But my 'e' question did shorten the list by at least 50%. So its by far not a dumb question. :D (I didn't add at least another 10 to the lists I found, and thats even assuming the movie is on IMDB)

* = Live Action

** = Live action and Family & or Comedy

*** = Live action, Family & or Comedy, with the letter E

**** = Live action, Family & or Comedy, with the letter E, and Has not been nominated for an Oscar.

***** = Live Action, Family & or Comedy, with the letter E, Has not been nominated for an Oscar, and Has more then 2 words in the tittle.

A _ means its missing that required field but fills the others, or it is unkown if it is or is not.

Fantasia/2000 (1999)

Switching Goals (1999) (TV) **

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas (1999) (V)

Muppet Treasure Island (1996) ***** (technically, its live action, its not ‘animated’ its puppeteered.)

These are the ones I found.... sooooo

Kivam, Is the movie on the above list? (most likely those that are 5 star would meet this.)

If yes, the list is narrowed to this.

My Favorite Martian (1999)

I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998)

The Parent Trap (1998)

Meet the Deedles (1998)

The Wonderful Ice Cream Suit (1998)

George of the Jungle (1997)

Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves (1997)

Jungle 2 Jungle (1997)

Homeward Bound II: Lost in San Francisco (1996)

Muppet Treasure Island (1996)

However, we don't know if Kivam is counting "The" as a word in the title or not. Also this list may not be 'perfect' so you guys may want to double check this, and possibly add titles I forgot (which may actually help even if he says no to the question)

if my sin is right and my count is right we have 6 questions to get 1 of 10 movies, shouldent be too hard

If he does answer yes, it'll help if someone can check the listed movies and post there box office, to help narrow the list.

To clarify, I did not give my genre answers based on the IMDB classification of the movies.  Only on my own sense of the genre (I didn't even know IMDB had a genre identification on its movie page).

I won't say anything about any particular movie without being asked as a numbered Q (you are on 17, not counting Sin's Q about Ees)

Yes - it is on the larger list

Pay special attenetion to that, it may not be the ones I put the 5 *'s on.

Given new evidence that it just follows kivams genere ranking not imdbs, anything with the letter E, has no golden globe awards, and is under what, 50 million box office should be back in the list,

The iffi ones are if he counts the 'e' in the word 'the', or if he even counts 'the' in a title that would make it 3 words. (aka, the majestic, two words counting The, one with out the)
