As many as you want, but it is recommended you start with a few so you don't overburden yourself.

 

And is there anything included with joining them? (Access to special forums for only that org...etc)

By joining an ORG, you'll get access to their private boards here at DM. Some will give you links to an off board site for activity as well.

I dont believe there is a usergroup section for the new ones.  If you wish to join an org, I believe that the correct thing to do is post a new thread in the public boards for that org stating that you wish to join, and the admins will get you set up.  ;D

Yeap. Most ORGs will have a sign up thread, and by posting in there, the ORG Leader will add you to the ORG's usergroup.
