In the show, I like Alanna a lot among Aes Sedai and, of course, Lan is a mesmerizing warder. In the books... that's difficult, there are so many amazing characters! I like seeing the character development arcs of Nynaeve, Aviendha, or Mat. What about you?

From the TV show...I'm really excited about Lanfear as well as both Mat Cauthons (I thought both actors did a great job).  In the books, I'm a huge Mat fan as well as Tuon (not the slavery part - but the way her character is grown).

I'm only teasing her, she is a remarkably tolerant Aes Sedai. There is no danger of you being throttled if me and @EirikDaude have survived this long.

Eirik is an Algai, in training to be a Warder, but yeah, kind of the same thing. As you can see from my funky banded dress *twirls* I am an Accepted. So probably should be a bit more decorous *stops twirling*

 

The experience has been amazing. There are really awesome people here, and living in the White Tower is an oddly involved thing. It has affected me more than I would have thought possible. I really regret that I did not find the website when the books were still being released and hundreds if not thousands people were treading the boards. 

 

I was looking forward to becoming an Aes Sedai, but then I think about how I'll have to tell the truth all the time...It's difficult to consider, really.

@Donchadh, do you know already know if you will go the Novice or the Algai route?

 

I am curious about the Warder groups... where can I learn more about them, please?

It is kind of crazy to suddenly meet so many people that love and know the books so well when you have spent decades not knowing anyone who does. Who knew you could use the internet for such things? Probably most people, I am imagining, but back in the day I just didn't think of it, and then later I was afraid of spoilers as it took me some time to finally getting around to reading the Sanderson books.

 

@HeroAndros is the Sword Captain and can probably tell you more about the Warders. Definitely more than me, I couldn't provide much more information than they like training topless (often while rippling) and have a strange affinity for towels, in my experience, though that might just be Eirik. Aspirants aren't tied to one path until they have taken the appropriate tests, and even then people who genuinely want to change I think are given a lot of freedom. 

 

Seeing as I am spamming everyone's inboxes, have you met Mother @Elgee and her Keeper @Cross yet? Perhaps Mother is setting stuff on fire again, and Cross Sedai is probably disapproving of something somewhere, possibly involving aforementioned things on fire.

Ah, I see you are disapproving of me, Cross Sedai. That would have been my second guess. I've been very sensible with channelling. Most of the time. It's not like I need to have someone hold my hand all the time. 

 

Only when it's scary. Or dark.

I have not yet met Mother @Elgee, though I have read her word in "DragonMount, a History"... which is where I seem to remember seeing that newbies must be given access before joining the White Toer and Warders special forums?

@HeroAndros and @EirikDaude, I would love to learn more about Gaidins (beyond the location of the training yard and the time of aforementioned shirtless trainings... 🫢) , if it pleases you.

I'm not sure yet....but probably inclined towards the Algai route.  I do here lots of voices in my head...but I'm sure it's not Saidin knocking...I hope?

I'm currently re-reading LoC and am really enjoying keeping track of all the Forsaken machinations.

Just as well it is you doing the poking, Cross Sedai. Delen was most unimpressed the last time I tried that. 

 

I have been sending her pics of my cat to get her attention,but it is almost like she has blocked me on every platform. But that would be crazy, who would want to block little old me?
