As we've got no other viable suspect at this time, and a deadline, I'm afraid that I'll have to put my vote on [glow=red,2,300]Hax[/glow] as well.

I guess I screwed up big time. My plan was to get the assassins to think I was the Healer and then nightkill me, of course I didn't think of the lynch. ^^

So, I'm not the Healer, but not an assassin either. ;D

Well, if you aren't evil and Danya checked Loki, then either Barm, Danya, or Loki are evil. I'm still as innocent as ever, and the fact that Loki is still targeting me freaks me out just a little.

And I never said I wasn't the Healer, I just haven't said I was the Healer. If someone wants to get themselves nightkilled over claiming/false claiming, who am I to stop them? Just don't count on me to do that. :P

Are you sure about Loki, Danya? What did his finding turn up as?

ok..so that most logically means that im going to be night killed, then say becky as the next most likely evil is viewed,  flip a coin over the admiral and minister alys, if he isnt..this is kinda hoping that we read the bit on the healer and finder roles remaining the same right meaning that the are still innocent instead of just still having there powers..sorry FDM i was being a bit dense i guess

and one of DPR's posts on the fight was supposed to imply they were innocent i think..but what he put in the public thread..gahh i feel like im missing something important ..sorry, i few aimless ramblings there

It does not take long to decide. Hax got everyone into this, and now, lying injured, bleeding and in desperate need of help, the group finally decides that he is the one to go. No one has any strength left for an elaborate ceremony so he is blindfolded, brought to his knees, and the Neitaren dagger pounded through his chest.  He falls to the side, the dagger buried to the hilt. He wheezes out “Not how I wanted it….”, and then goes still.

* HAXORSIST, A ROLELESS INNOCENT IS DEAD. IT IS NOW NIGHT 6. PLEASE TURN IN YOUR NIGHT ACTIONS. *

Final Day 6 Vote Count:

[glow=red,2,300]Hax ( 4 )[/glow] – Loki, Danya, Far, Barm

[glow=red,2,300]Minister ( 1 )[/glow] - Hax

It is just dark when the first scouts arrive. They’ve brought medical supplies and immediately take care of the Minister, then the Admiral. Barm waves them off, pointing towards you.

“Are the witches far behind? We’ll need more than stitches for this one.”

“It won’t be long. They were right behind us.”

    “Where do we stand”?

“Everything worked the way that you planned. The Hall was all but abandoned when the Neitarens finally broke through. The majority followed you into the gauntlet and we made short work of them. The others went down easily enough, though they fought well. Well, for not being pirates.” He smiles. It’s not a friendly smile.

“We watched the Sendekians unload onto the far shore, but Ennora was strict in her directions not to engage them. She said under no circumstances were we to follow or engage them. Too bad really, I know we would have loved to cross steel with those bastards.”

“Yeah, they would have loved that too. Loved it more than what they got. Ennora called Xoc.

“We know. Kinda hard to miss.” He winks.  “We watched it from the Hall. Never seen anything like it. And now we have a miles worth of charred landscape to remember him by.”

    “Did any of them escape?”

“Only Neitarens. They hit their ships running and are half way back to Tar’ Meghin by now.

“It’s a ruse. A feint. They’re waiting still. Don’t let your guard down.”

He looks back at Barm like he was told not to stick his hand in the fire. “Uh huh.”

The witches arrive, along with many more pirates.  Everyone is either walked or carried back to the village where a temporary infirmary has been set up. The witches use ice blue stones to heal the worst of the damage to you and the other members of the group.

Around midnight, a massive fire is set in the gathering circle, and everyone circles around. A witch you have not seen before addresses the overflowing crowd.

“Helys wears the chain that binds us. The Sisterhood is intact.” A silence falls; the crackling of the fire is all that punctures the night.

“Ennora has joined her sister Alarra, Helys’ mother, along with the others who have fallen to this design against the Brothers and the Minister.” She levels a finger at your group. “Six stand before us now, with the Minister, and the Admiral, and Barm. Danya, Far Dareis Mai and Redffern. And one has been cursed by the Blackstone. One would see this rampage continue! One assassin lives and must be discovered!” She signals to the guard. “They have been cared for enough. Lock them in a house together. Let them discover the traitor.”

And it is so. The six of you are confined to a house, waiting to see what the night brings.

Crap, I'm screwed.  :'(

It's ludicrous to believe that the minister or the admiral are the evil ones, since we have been told that we can't (or shouldn't) actually lynch them. That they still have a part to play in the story or whatever. Since I have not yet seen anywhere that the order has been lifted, I have to assume that they are not the ones we need to focus on. Can I please get some clarifications here? Are we allowed to lynch the Minister and the Admiral, or are they still needed to continue the story or whatever?

And for another thing, if what Danya says was indeed true, if she is indeed not evil, and was protecting Loki, then Barm is evil. Either way, we have two confirmed assassins, a rather evil seeming admiral, and only three others that are innocent at this moment. If this night kill goes through, the game is over, because the evils will presumably outnumber the innocents.  >:(

Mod Clarification: As soon as the Balck Bonestone was used, one person was made an assassin. This could have been anyone. So, as it stands, there are six players left and one is an assassin (or the game would have been won) and It could be any of the six players! No one is excluded! (don't know why that one was believed!) And, technically, no one is proven innocent. The curse is broken, so if the assassin is found, the game goes to the innocents. if not, well....

Oooooh, so just because we eliminated an innocent, doesn't mean that another assassin popped up?

That changes things then, I misunderstood it as 'if we didn't get the assassin this round, another would spawn and we would have two, until the three cap was met'.

Whew, that makes my day better. And I knew that anyone was susceptible to the black bonestone, I just was unclear about the Admiral and the Minister, because at some point we were told not to lynch them, because plot stuff needed to take place.

My life is happy again...unless I get nightkilled...then it would be less happy. :P

You wake up to a scream. Between the battles, the wounds and the quiet house you must have fallen asleep. The sun is peeking over the horizon and the guard is pounding on the door.

     “Open or we’ll enter!”

You stumble to the door and swing it open. The more guard the better, right?

     “Who screamed?”

Barm calls from the kitchen. “In here”.

You enter the kitchen and the Minister is kneeling over Danya’s body. The Admiral stands over her with his arms crossed. “It was done with a Sendekian garrote. Looks like our assassin has a sense of irony.”

The guard pulls the five of you out on to the front porch.

“You have to end this! Whichever of you is innocent, you must find the assassin! We cannot risk them escaping. Minister, I am sorry.” You are all thrown into a one-room cabin. There are chamber pots in the corners.

* DANYA, THE SEER AND AN INNOCENT, IS DEAD. IT IS NOW DAY 7. *

With 5 players, it takes 3 to lynch.

Actually, I didn't heal Danya for a couple reasons.

1. I've been healing her ever since she revealed. There was no reason for anyone to believe, or assume that this time would be otherwise.

2. It was likely that the evils would assume Danya would be healed again tonight, so they would target me instead, as loki was not the Healer, and Hax's role was revealed, thus leaving myself as Healer . So I healed myself tonight, instead. This is the first night I've ever protected myself, instead of someone else.

3. The the plain and simple fact was that nobody was protected from the black bonestone. The fact that Hax turned out innocent, made me question Danya's alignment, since she was soooo adamant about him. And the fact that despite Loki's innocent reading, he was the guiltiest looking of the bunch. What did you expect me to do? The only person I was sure of being innocent at this point is myself. I figured out Hax's ploy too late, but by then Danya spoke, so everyone followed.

The value only outweighs if Danya was actually innocent and not evil, and there was no way for us to know that at the time. If she had been an evil Finder, it would have gotten us nowhere at all, because everything she said could be made up. So with that being said, I knew I was innocent, and I knew that the chances I would be targeted tonight were high. It was a gamble, and it didn't work out. I'm not going to apologize, because it seemed the right thing to do at the time.

But advising people to off others, even if they are most likely innocent, is never good advice. But what happens, happens. *shrugs*

Man you guys are bloodthirtsy - mounting a suicidal rescue mission to save Hax, then turning around and killing him?  You all deserve a knife in the dark, in my professional opinion  :P

Nope - even if Danya was evil, any name she revealed would be guaranteed to be innocent

It doesn't matter. If she were evil, it wouldn't really make a difference who she confirmed as innocent, since everyone else would be picked off one by one, until she and one other were left...because who (besides apparently myself) was going to question her alignment? I again say, at that point I KNEW I was innocent, and I figured that since people now were aware of who the Healer was, I was a likely target. I don't think that it was an unreasonable assumption. It was a gamble.

I'm finished arguing about this. I realized it was a risk, but that's what the game is about. Sucks that it didn't work out, but I had every right to do what I did, and with the information I had, I simply chose Choice B, as opposed to Choice A. I've justified it about as much as I can, whether or not you agree.  :-\

So now we can either follow Kivam's advice, and lynch the innocent Healer, or we can try to deduce an assassin from the three people left (Barm, Minister, Admiral), as Loki has now been confirmed innocent.

How is Loki innocent?!

BTW I think we have to kill the last assasin but not by lynching him, but by some other method.

I know I am innocent, I am pretty damn sure the minister is innocent, so I reckon Barm could be guilty...

I vote that we try him up for now! Does any have any rope?

Posted

Danya said she viewed Loki and that he was innocent. As Danya is innocent, I am inclined to believe her.

If I may ask Mr. Admiral, why does the Minister appear innocent to you? What makes him/her stand out? And as I know that I'm innocent, perhaps we should be gunning for you instead?

And Don't worry FDM, I cost the innocents the cop once before on a similar type of gamble. You don't need to justify it further as far as I'm concerned. It was valid reasoning.

Oh yea, and what other method would be used to kill the assassin? Just curious here, any idea's would be helpful if you are right. Of course, I get the impression that a simple lynch will do the trick.

The witch that addressed the crowd last night is in your room, her voice lifting and falling in questioning tones. It is a song of searching and the light emanating from her palm is pale yellow around her hand. An orange halo surrounds her body and each person she focuses her voice on shines briefly in golden light of their own.

“The stone hides its work well. I cannot sense which one is the assassin.”

Another witch speaks behind her. “Is there a different stone then? One that will reveal the curse.”

“No. It is not the limitation of the stones that keeps us from viewing the assassin. I dare not raise too much power here for fear of another attack by Xoc.”

“Then we bring them back to the Hall?”

“No. Ennora was clear that the assassin must not be allowed back into the Hall. The risk is too great. The prophecy spoke of a Hall broken once and that has come to pass. There are already four new Admirals who hold court and will name captains. The healing must be allowed to continue unhindered.”

“To Dez Leera then. The priests will aid us and we will not be bound by limitations.”

“Yes. We will travel to the prayer city. There we will have our answer, one way or the other. It will also be wise to take this trouble away from the Hall. If it turns out that the Minister, the Admiral, or Barm is the assassin, it will be better dealt with away from the Brotherhood.  Prepare the Maiden’s Folly to sail.”

The Minister cuts in “I do not question you logic, Sula. But there are affairs I should put in order before we leave.  The Brotherhood need not suffer further insult….”

“Scribes will join us and you may dictate your business to them. Should you be found innocent, you will have taken the appropriate cautionary measures. Should you be found to be cursed, we will have prevented you from causing further damage. And Minister, I am not convinced that the assassin is even aware that they have been cursed. There are many mysteries to unravel still, and you know that this is all in the best interest of the Hall.”

“You are right, of course. I will help in any way possible.”

You are marched back to the bay and take skiffs out to Maiden’s Folly. A skeleton crew along with Sula and three other witches are all that accompany you to the floating city of Dez Leera.  You are all placed in a single cargo hold with no porthole. Fortunately, your journey will not be long.

* YOU WILL REACH THE FLOATING CITY IN 24 HOURS. YOU MUST VOTE TO LYNCH BY THEN OR EACH FACE A NEW RUSSIAN ROULETTE ACTION, OF WHICH A POSSIBLE OUTCOME WILL BE DEATH. *

With 5 players, it takes 3 votes to lynch

Hmm... I do know what I said to FDM, but the players in the public thread do make a fair case here.

On the other hand, if we are wrong, we've just lynched our healer. Then what? What do you guys in the public thread think?

And do we want to wait the 24 hours? Or do we want to get the lynch done with?

Go ahead and lynch me, my reasons were certainly not suspicious, they were validated. If I had been successful, everyone would have given me a pat on the back.  ::) You are seeing suspicion because you WANT to see it, and I have no control over that. As Danya said, she already knew I was the Healer...and I've been obviously not evil until this so called evil action <note sarcasm> :p. I've protected her every single night since she revealed. Even AFTER the black bonestone. I'm not evil, I merely made a bad call.

Look at it like this: If I get lynched today, you are going to lose an innocent. Plain and simple. Whether you believe it or not. You are also going to lose a night action. Then you are going to lose another innocent with the night kill (probably loki, since he is now confirmed), because you've now lost all hope of my healing actually landing on the mark. Then it's going to be two innocents to one evil. And if Loki isn't around to be a confirmed innocent, and the Admiral and Minister have been nothing but ambiguous and quiet--those innocents are going to be in a sticky pickle. But have it whichever way you will. The majority can obviously overrule me.

My thoughts--I think we're looking at either the Minister or Barm. The Admiral seems like the likely person, and I would completely believe that he was evil, except that I think the bonestone turned him into an innocent. His demeanor and attitude (though still random), has changed quite a bit since the bonestone was used. The Minister has been quiet, and so has Barm--who before the Bonestone was quite talkative. But it could all just be in my head, so ultimately people just need to start voting.

I think waiting for a roulette action is a bad idea. With more innocents than assassins, it's more likely we'll lose an innocent, and that would be very, very bad. We just don't have enough people to play gambling games anymore. I'd rather be lynched, than us go through another roulette.

Vote: [glow=red,2,300]Minister[/glow]

My daughter is sick, so I will probably not be back online until tomorrow morning. Good luck, guys.  :-\

Along with information about other things, I have information that says that the Admiral is innocent, and that Danya had been working to find the last innocent of our bunch. I know I am innocent, and Danya said that Loki was innocent. This leaves Barm and Far.

I realise how bad I am at pulling rabbits out of hats, but I believe that with all I have seen in this game, and my discussions with DPR, the culprit is most likely going to be [glow=red,2,300]Barm.[/glow] That said, I have to vote for him. *now going to read the public thread*
