I think the combination of Darc pointing out the "(town)" thing from Hallia, Hallia's reaction to it, and then Darc's voting there is an exceptionally good look for her.  Is there a universe where she does it as scum?  Probably.  But I'm pretty confident she would be trying to work with her team and would hash it out with Hallia if Hallia really felt insulted behind the scenes.   

 

Combine that with just feeling good about her from d1 in general (and partially sheeping Tripped, not gonna lie), Darc is my most confident townread right now.

I would agree. You and Darc are off the table imo. Hallia really was sort of sliding by before the two do you started to pick at her.

I guess the important thing about Kat is I'm not nearly as comfortable with her as my huge post about her made it seem (was trying to sell that peek, LDO) and don't remotely think she's out of her scumrange... but she's done absolutely nothing to make me think she can't be town.  Without factoring in the possibility Darthe was peeked, and being reasonable, I felt better about her than I did him/Nyn/Hallia/and Penguins going into deadline.

 

If I wanted to be completely arrogant in my ability to read her, I probably would have had her about Seph and/or Dice but far below my "core".

Bold isn't really what I was getting at - I just don't think Halli would say something like that to an ?otherwise unknown? Scum partner ITT, so yeah, TLDR I wanna read ISO but statistically agree with you.

I initially submitted NO cos I thought she might be the Seer.

 

Then I re-read and she hadn't left a definite peek.

 

Then I read her last game and noted she asked more game questions, made more comments on who she didn't like (rather than just positive + sus at Darthe here) and thought she could be Wolf.

 

Then I read her Wolf Ad-Lib game and she did give EZ Town reads, but she went more gang-busters with questions etc there so NAI...

 

Then I re-read here, her quoted posts lined up with being well behind and throughout her tone just sounded so standard - I could imagine busy Halli being busy and unapologetic Town.

 

Repeat circles a couple of thousand times.

 

Ultimately decided I didn't have enough proof or hunch to say either way.

Nah, I get it. When I saw the thing you said to Darc about how it should be obvious what you were doing I sorta caught on. I think you were right in that post, selling or no, that if she was gladly accepting of the power it would be a red flag - I just also think Kat is savvy enough to know that and act accordingly. She’s been my scum bud a few times and I think people underestimate her.

 

Overall though, I’m where you’re at. She’s been pretty much on par with how I expect her to behave and progress, but I’d like to see where she goes with a red flip on the books.

Talk to me about her scum game?  I was going through the database and couldn't remember actually paying any attention to her scum games.  The best I had was when she was a Survivor in my Final Fantasy game.

I'm forcing myself to avoid the discussion between you two about the polygraph stuff and how he responded to people making a big deal of it (which I'm pretty sure was mainly Darc, even though I wouldn't say ANYBODY made a big deal out of it... don't care remotely enough to get into a semantics debate; if he feels it was being turned into a serious issue, I'm fine going with that).  I think he probably thinks it was meaningless and stupid for darc/me/tripped to even bring up and was genuinely annoyed about the issue in general in a way that's NAI.  So I'm giving him no credit for fighting with you, and I won't hold that specific issue against him right now

Why you picked her.

Well I wanted to wait as long as possible to lay down a n0 peak on someone I thought could be town. But honestly I can’t tell you how this bright and shining light called tripped came into my life the other day lol.

 

like literally the way she went about the game... Her thought process and how she laid out her details were just so incredibly towny.

 

I thought a decent amount about this and i know picking a highly read town wasn’t the best idea but I felt laying down my n0 when o did was a good idea hoping it was a odd placement that might garner attention.

Like how many people would just drop the most towny person as their peak?

 

I know a good strategy is to pick someone you thinknis town and hopefully get them cleared if you provide good cover, but I just wanted to try it this way.

 

I honestly wish she would have held back a little now knowing she was the cop. 

 

I actually thought aj was the cop cause no cause no one is going to fake peak me =p

What do you think about Kats d1 play?

I have zero issue admitting that I am sleeping Tripped(D1)/Clov on their Darc reads, but also because there is pretty good associative tells ITT of her calling out a dead Mafia. So yeah, pretty fine sheeping that read.

We were scum together in a multi ball and then like Jester masons in one of Darthe’s AIDS games. She made it pretty far in the multi ball game and was generally getting TR from what I remember. It wasn’t until claims starting coming out that she got pigeonholed. But I remember her being able to play up the uncertainty of which direction to go in, etc. I had to really push her in the QT to lead a lynch on opposing faction scum!Lenlo

I have made my problems public though she isnt the bottom of my worries. She could have indeed erased content posts. I was just worried how irritated she got with me and was trying to figure out if it was real or not. My main goal was just trying to figure out where her head was at.

 

Overall her her tone seemed good and tripped seemed to throw weight towards her being town which help as well imo.

Also @TrippedOnReality   it WAS you asking about AJs scum game right? that last game we played   if u go read it keep in mind AJs not completely his normal scum self there. he had an inactive team, a on the ball town team so he got a bit frustrated and it came out a bit.
