Why is it so unlikely that he calls you town? I mean, you have the ability to look the same as town and scum, at least and maybe especially early on, but why is it so weird that he's throwing out a read? I tend to treat most early D1 reads that are made with little content as sort of #soulreads, and that they mean little in the grand context except when later validated. I mean, I can literally call everyone a town read this game and be more right than wrong, so I don't see the sketching out bit.

It's because it's Darthe in this particular situation not just the fact it was a too easy Town read.

Tbf, I did sort of question why you were commenting on people outside of your top four, but I sort of shrugged it of as you thinking something along the lines of "my idea isn't gaining traction, going to keep looking at other people."

 

I am curious why DPR kept pursuing why your idea was wrong though.  Is he normally someone who will latch onto things like that and just keep bull dogging it even after everyone else has kind of moved on?

I think it's unlikely, as I've said. Ultimately that sort of play never works out because all parties are suspect until the game is solved. I don't see a Darthe/BFG wolfpack.

Yep. And I'd totally go along with a Darthe plan to answer a previous question. However, I *really* don't consider anything I've posted to be bulldogging. I am curious to see what folks have to say about it so I don't mind keeping it in the spotlight for a bit.

I'm not atp where I think one HAS to be Scum.  But that exchange between DPR and Darthe as I mentioned did kinda feel like his Scum!DPR push on Town!Darthe again tho I was right about him last game doesn't have me 100% convinced I can read him good because historically I'm not great at doing so.

The only benefit I can see for scum!Darthe to include himself is for, like you said, to make himself look less ~bad for the idea by excluding himself. @Zanatron I think the discussion between Tripped/Darthe requires more depth than Aquilla’s reason for TR Darthe.

 

The way he asks if it’s a good reason for the read just seems weird to me versus just making it because he thinks it’s true. It’s over explained.
