Id pay attention to them for 2 reasons.  Hes capable of making good reads as Town and if he's Scum will then obv still could be very telling.

I mean I have a baseline (somewhat) for reading Town!Darthe from Scum!Darthe but he literally just wolfed against me last game so obv if he was a Wolf again he'd have to adjust his Scum game a fair bit.  That all being said gun to head I'd say its a little more likely to come from Town!Darthe based on the small sample size hus far,

Would you have expected wolf!Darthe to pick someone else to go after this early in the game given the roster?  Or is wolf!darthe generally not this aggressive this early?

There's likely easier players in this game to go after then BFG...Town!BFG can GOAT up a game pretty quickly.

 

I find Darthe more agressive as Town then Wolf generally tbqh

Wolves know who wolves are.  If there are no wolves is in the first 4 slots, it would be easy for a wolf to suggest "hey, let's only look at the first 4 people D1 to make the game easier!"

I just think it could benefit wolves a lot, if a wolf were to suggest it.  If town suggests it, I don't think it particularly matters one way or the other.  There could be no wolves in the top 4 or there could be more than one.  Statistically, there is probably at least one, but then I'm not actually sure how that helps other than not trying to sort an entire roster at once.  I do tend to sort people in small groups to some degree, but I personally would never just look at the top 4 slots and say "I'm going to focus all of my attention on these 4 people for now, " nor would I suggest everyone else look at the same 4 people I'm looking at.  I can understand why someone might think it's a good idea, I just don't now how effective it would actually be.  I'd rather people be able to focus on people they think they can read, as opposed to being pigeon-holed into trying to read a random sample of the player list chosen by a person of unknown alignment.  but that's just me.

I picked top for because it's easy.  If we collectively agreed to the concept I wouldn't care if we all wanted to change it to the even number slots or etc, but I think that it should be consistently implemented across multiple games to make it averse to bias like you're suggesting.

In principle, I think it might be fine.  In practice, by doing that, you have the potential to be looking for wolves in a pool of people where none exist.  I guess that's my biggest issue with it.  And I if you're not able to sufficiently clear the people in the pool you're looking at, you're just giving wolves and easy excuse to lynch town.    

 

At least if you're leaving the entire roster open for evaluation you know there are wolves there.  I'm not sure how excited I am about making a quasi-PoE based on nothing other than rand which might not contain any wolves.  Regardless, this is probably a discussion for another time as it doesn't seem like you're getting much support for this idea in this game and it's not helping us sort people out right now.  /2cents
