Basically it starts to weird me out when players I've clicked well with as v/v in the past can't just look me in the eyes and call me a villager after a few RL days.

Welcome to my life.

Chris? Let's talk and I'll make you my village partner <3

I don't know what we should talk about, but you can pick the topic.

Was there any reason you picked Darthe?

I'm drunk. I should probably give you a proper answer when I'm not.

Not being here is the main reason though.

I'm still mad.

Why are you mad?

I know you've been low activity in games as town, and I think your inactivity here COULD be NAI. That's exactly why I said I'm holding off on committing to a read.

...you know "I don't care about it" means it's not something that stands out to me as scummy/I'm fine with it, right? Or are you saying you think I should be actively townreading you for it?

If you're struggling to make a read on me then I would expect town!you to use it to make some sort of read, whether directly or through poking further

I mean I got that impression on p1 and kind of liked it; the post Chris quoted was odd in an obvious sort of way considering I had just spent a page or two openly claiming I was a wolf with Ben.

Not really in a good or bad way, just left me thinking "huh?"

Tldr, The post you were 'huh' on was Chris asking darthe to explain? And you liked darthe pg1?
This might be it, but that's not how I (finally) took it. I thought he was saying I quoted him saying he expected more of a response, and that was because Ben's reaction was 'huh - he had spent several.pages claiming scum with him, and Ben had little reaction to it.

I concede I could be entirely off

Shad called Ben a wolf then Ben 'didn't react' the several pages of scum claiming came after?

But I didn't really follow the train of thought :(

To be clear it's paraphrasing of this post that is causing trouble

Chris's sequence of events here seems wrong

I will concede that I said 'no response' while neither Chris or shad said 'no' however the ' ' should have indicated it was paraphrased /shrug

@BFG what's your read on me?

At the moment I don't have one

You've lead as mafia (or truer to say I remember strenuously arguing that you were town in magic because you were leading) both that game and last you said something that pinged me as off early and that hasn't happy this game, that said the 'claim wolf' thing seems overdone and reads oddly.

Gun to head, town? maybe? but I won't have any confidence for a couple of days

I guess that's ~ok. The level of fear I've been seeing towards my slot in this game is atypical, and I suppose being a consensus villager for a while in my last two scum games has something to do with that, but are they really so similar? Plenty of wolves can say the right things to dodge people's suspicions for a while and it doesn't make their town games any less obvious. It's why I almost never make it to lylo as scum. When it gets to crunch time and people start reassessing me the superficiality of it clicks. (I have to walk all the way back to Friends to point to a DM game I survived in as scum, and that only worked because Sooh and I set ourselves up to both look like scum mates with Tab. No one really thought I was a villager by the end.)

Point being I expect it to sooner or later click that the level at which I am talking to people really isn't ever sustainable within my scum game. M:tG was probably my best go at it but you saw how that devolved.

And I don't know that I should really be bothered if it doesn't click, considering it would be fairly easy to just call me a villager and pet me a few times and let me purr into your pocket, but there's the counter line that certain wolves familiar with those games are going to think "ok I read him wrong a couple times so he's going to expect me to be cautious".

Basically it starts to weird me out when players I've clicked well with as v/v in the past can't just look me in the eyes and call me a villager after a few RL days.

Lol, we've played twice(?) in 6 months and I've misread you in both

It's going to take a few days to feel comfortable with a read

oh you can question me as much as you want.

I won't promise that you'll understand the answer.

I better read this all tomorrow when sober.

Will die with embarrassment.

I have no idea what you're trying to say at this point. How would I (definitively) know what Shad was questioning. I said how I interpreted it. That's as much a no as I can give on someone else's post

And I can check to see if my timeline was screwed up somewhere, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't.

I'm also pretty sure Shad clarified exactly what he was talking about, and it was neither.

Unless I'm just completely screwed up, in which case I propose everyone lynch Shad if he's alive tomorrow on principle.

I can confirm that I made posts in a game.

Beyond that y'all lost me a long time ago.

As I understand it:

Darthe made a post that made you go "Huh?"

I made a post, saying that I thought it was about Ben (not Darthe).

BFG made a post, saying she thought it was about me (not Darthe).

Now that I look again, she's right that my sequence of events was off.  You called Ben a wolf mid-p2, said you expected more of a reaction top of p3, and starting the distancing comments mid-p3.  For some reason, I thought that was a little further down.  I am now embarrassed and ashamed.  lolme OSS

I don't even remotely care.

That's fine generically and still weird to me in terms of like

I am aggressively standing here saying HEY BFG WHY AM I NOT OBVIOUS TO YOU YET

And I could do that as scum, again generically

But would I, really? Does it even need to be a meta thing? Like how many wolves do this? Doesn't it eventually just go ding ding ok yeah you're probably town.

Like I got into this with Cass last time she was a wolf and she kept referring back to yeah but there was this one thing you said once that was kind of weird so I just don't knoooowwwww

As if the conversation in the present isn't read relevant.

Tell me why I might still be a wolf.

If that's somehow not correct, oh well.  I'm done discussing it anyway.  I'm pretty sure you're town, and if you're not, whatever surprised/confused you isn't going to be what outs you.  I'm not sold on her in either direction, and her being right/wrong on that interpretation isn't going to convince me of either.  I'm pretty sure the more we talk about it, the more everybody gets confused so I'd rather stop wasting the effort.
