This game is a perfect example. Why am I alive? Is it because I am scum or because based on thread state the scum left me alive, and just so happened to pair me again with the person (all who died) people were worried about me being partners with?

 

Don’t drink the juice. BFG couldn’t reproduce the content she has as scum in my experience, and if she that means she has intentionally set out on leveling me two phases in a row. I doubt this. I know that I am town.

 

That leaves Aquilla and Lenlo. One or both are scum.

I mean you could also say that sometimes the obvious answer is just the right one in regards to the partner thing lol :P . I do get what you're saying though and I'm saying similar things except just from my perspective. I know I'm town and I don't see why Lenio wouldn't just revive his known partner if he was scum, which means that at least one of you or BFG is scum from my perspective.

Short answer: no. I think scum!BFG hopes she can slide by long enough D1 for me to ignore her (as well as others) and then NK those players promptly. That’s in a more convention setup, but like I said her being scum relies on her intentionally trying to level me in that manner and from my experience her gameplay wouldn’t hold up. Like I said about Sooh, she tends to be a ghost as mafia. She definitely wouldn’t be #3 in posts. That surpasses most of her completed scum games in total and this one is only in D2.

Then in your opinion, who does this fit? I know you think me/Aquilla are one of if not both wolves, but who in this game trys this? Why would wolves not rez a partner? I havnt played with Aquilla, and I cant speak for my own wolf game cause im biased, but tricks like this are right up some of you more experienced players allies.

 

Also, why are you bringing up Sooh? Shes flipped town, she has nothing to do with this?

Because I said the same about Sooh. From my experience, both of those very lovely ladies struggle to play as scum. So they just don’t post unless it’s absolutely necessary.

 

I’m also not really interested in applying motive. Everyone can read the thread and anyone who has played more than a few mafia games can probably figure out how best to use thread state at their advantage. What I know is that I am town. I am pretty comfortable with the idea that BFG is at least not one of the goons, and her gameplay beyond that makes me think she isn’t scum at all. I will be voting her regardless today.

 

Between you two, I thought you both looked better in your D1 matchups, but part of that was effort more so than finding you necessarily townie. Both of you don’t have to be scum, but I know it’s not me and I don’t think it’s BFG. So here we are.

 

If I’m having one of those hilariously bad games, then I’ll suck it up and all can tease me after the game is over. But for now I’m sticking with my reads.

@Aquilla it would depend on which qualities you think are most important as to whose the stronger town player between me and AJ. People normally tinfoil on me less, AJ probably has consistently better scum reads, but our town reading ability is probably similar

If I engage in the wifom then both goons are in AJ/Aquilla/Lenlo because otherwise there's no logical reason to bring me back. They brought me back because they thought I was a possible symp which points to Aquilla/Lenlo since scum AJ knows I'm not symp at this point.

 

But... scum don't have to bring back the symp, they just need to avoid killing them so that's ~null

I really shouldn't be awake, but I was wanting to watch some competitive league. To answer your recent questions.

1. I honestly don't have a read on Verbal, I remember nothing that he's done this game. Honestly he's more likely town by POE because I think SK is more likely mafia than him and I think there's two mafia in the tournament at this moment (I went over this already). If there is only 1 mafia in the tournament, I think SK and Verbal are both more likely than LZM. So in summary my read on Verbal is literally just by POE.

 

2. I'm rather lacking on scum games on forum unfortunately, I come from a video mafia site (Daily Mafia) where I actually don't play much either, I host a lot more. My scum game list includes only the following games. Video Game (which was the Daily Mafia invitational) where I 5 posted d1 and got lynched. Then I got subbed into a mafia slot in Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, in a spot that had just bussed the mafia vigilante, and the mafia team was literally in such a good spot that all we had to do was get more town lynched at any point in the game and it was over. Then I got rolled mafia in both Mafia Universe Anniversary game, and the Sailor Moon game here, which I subbed out both due to irl committments (they were the same week). Then most recently I played in the XCOM invitational and subbed out due to a friend dying on d1.

and tbh BFG at this point I agree that you are unlikely to be a mafia goon, and that you most likely got brought back because the goons thought you were the symp. Whether you are the symp or not is what I need to find out.

Re Verb, I doubt verb/sk are teammates (the only combo that would make sense would be a SK symp/Verb goon but I have nothing to say that's likely, it's just the only one that doesn't seem impossible),individually I have them both scummish at this point

I agree that I’m not too concerned about fleshing out the crowd. We know at least one scum is between us four.
