I’m sticking with my original theory that goon!BFG probably doesn’t pick to match with another high volume player. Her worry about Sooh town reading her “easily” is par for the course id say but not a hard angle to play as scum. I agree with her about Ben at least. The only problem I have so far is a little tinfoil about her maybe being a symp because of the Spidey/Deadpool gif. I’m waiting to see more from Verb before I let that go anywhere but my back pocket though.

 

Yeah, Ben's the obvious scum because Sooh is so town. No wait, because he's always scum. No wait, because he's "off." Perfect pairing if Sooh is scum, as I have no chance against her as long as she doesn't lurk.

I’m not sure what this has anything to do with what I said about BFG. Also why you’re being so self deprecating.

 

@Nyn - verdict is still out. I got his alignment right in BFG’s game before he got confirmed as IC and he was scum in my game so I wanna compare the two with his posting this round.

@Verb - nature of the build, bro. I don’t think anyone has explicitly named you as a scum read so your assumption there is sort of knee jerk considering the setup. To put it simply, Nyn is town telling really hard. I want to keep her around. I don’t think there’s really anything you’ve posted yet to put you better than null but even if you get knocked out today, you’re not necessarily out of it. So if you’re town, which you could easily be regardless of Nyn’s alignment, it’s still in your interest, and mine (and everyone else’s I guess) to make that obvious.

Why bother? People vote me right out of the gate and leave their votes there. I'm an automatic D1 lynch every time.

It's actually pretty annoying. Fact of the matter is it doesn't really feel to me like you're doing much to change my mind. You have got me to reconsider in a previous game. But if you rather sit back and just whine about past game grievances, then go right ahead. Be sure to let me know when you're actually willing to do something about it... assuming you're town. Getting back to this. I did a quick skim of his ISO from Suicide Squad and Tainted Minds, and I’m still undecided. He did the “I suck as town” thing in SS as the IC so meh. It wasn’t to this extent though. I need a bigger sample and there’s not a ton of stuff for him to react to this game so far. The reads on me and Sooh are about it plus his list where he had Lenlo as an town read as well. I’d like to hear about that.

Like seriously. This game is different. Even if you get voted off, you still get a voice and a vote in the game and you can still help your team win. So this whole pity trip is completely unhelpful. We're supposed to be playing as a team, not as individuals.

 

I'm not trying to be a b***h about it or mean or anything. And I know I have gotten frustrated and resigned in games myself to the point where I even voted myself. TWICE. So I'm not saying I'm not at fault of this as well. I just really think we can win this if we avoid people getting butthurt over nothing. At the end of the day it's up to you if you're gonna do what needs to be done for us to win. Or you're going to be petty about it and do nothing. But no one is going to emotionally extort anyone to stay in this tournament. That much I can tell you.

Well either we’re both town and this is the winner/loser combo they most want to kill N1 or you’re the symp and the mafia team doesn’t/didn't realize it. I don’t think we’d be paired if you were mafia. Levels tho but that’s the assumption I’m gonna work with for the time being.

But more that I very rarely get mislynched, and I don't think mafia want to make that head to head :/ (also specifically people tinfoil on you). If bens mafia I'm tinfoiling on you as symp though :p

Circling back to BFG this post comes across Uber confident. She’s basically saying scum!AJ doesn’t want none of town!BFG for her ability to get cleared and low mislynch rate.

FWIW there’s some stuff from Lenlo that rubs me the wrong way but idk if it’s a tone or alignment thing. Like when he basically said all four in the top two matches are probably town and left it at that. Or when he referred to me as the smart guy. Felt sort of placating.

Just heads up, while rereading, this isnt true. I gave reasoning for why I thought that. Its a bunch of people that when they are town are generally self-resolving and are big hitters. Ignoring the possibility of a Symp, which I stated back then to, the top two groups are probs town. Unless one of the groups is 2 wolves, I dont see why a wolf would go up against Nyn, you or BFG. Its a fight they would most likely lose.

Knee jerk?  Not at all, I'm trying to get people to explain their votes.  That is part of what a townie wants to do - get their reasons out there and see if they contradict in the future.  You know as well as I that it isn't easy to "maintain the lie" as scum, and it tends to make you dig that hole deeper and deeper until you can't find a way out.

 

Yeah, Nyn seems to be town.  That's why I won't vote her.  I don't want to leave the game, either, so I'm hopeful I'll stick around and still be able to play/vote.

I agree with verbal on that point and I've stated as much before. I want to see people scumhunting and not just toss around votes cause X person seems town so I'm voting Y. It's just extremely easy to hide behind this as scum and not have to provide in depth thoughts.
