Asking for reasons is good, giving your opinions and whether you agree/disagree with the votes and why is even better.

since we arent playing this in real life, there can hardly anything that can trigger such a big emotional response which would call for your idea of "aggresive" and "defensive" stuff in a post

 

my point about "aggresive and defensive" was this: aggresive = seek interaction; defensive = run away from interaction

 

calling my posts defensive isnt correct

 

How then do you explain 'tone' reads of 'genuineness' etc? Words trigger emotional responses/interpretations - and it's mostly natural that people will have different views.

The question is more whether or not the read is genuine or worded with an ulterior motive. The problem with saying 'tone' by itself is it's relatively non-specific and it's easily backed out of later if you're a wolf than thought-out explanations.

 

FWIW I read your early aggression as 'seeking interaction' and did not see defensiveness in the sense of running away.

There is an aggression that feels pushy/overly belligerent to me and that may be what people are picking out as 'defensive' here. I'm not sure at this point if it's scummy pushing or assertiveness that comes from Town, but I'm leaning slightly to the latter on that particular point.

 

I will say that there also seems to be a sense of pushing arguments fruitlessly/arguing semantics after a reaction, especially wrt Spades, which makes it feel somewhat false.

I had this issue early last game. I think I just have a personality defect or something :P

Also all the wolfs ended up being the ones accusing me of being a wolf. There is that too.I'm not too worried, I think it's too early to point fingers. Takes more than 4 posts to convince me of anything.

Exactly, might be able to clear her if she keeps posting. Her showing interest while at work is a good sign that she is a villager. She is known for posting very little when she rands wolf, so we shall see if she can keep it up or not.

I pointed it out simply because it didn't make sense. When something is confusing, I work at understanding it. That's all.

I'm less paranoid of dice than I used to be as well. I've learned from my mistakes of misreading him.

 

I honestly didn't notice that Darthe backed off. It happened to coincide with me finishing my catchup.

 

The if was a typo correction. I said of.

 

Nothing to hang you on. Your approach at me feels town-driven. Keep coming at me if you feel you have to. I can take it. Hopefully it will help you figure me out.

I've spent this morning beginning to organize thoughts and impressions and starting on a reads list to post tonight. 

 

Quick notes:

 

Hopefully LZM has not fallen off the face of the earth and will turn up today.

 

Cass, if you could poke your hydra partner and get him to give me a bit more action, I'd much appreciate it.  Otherwise, i guess we'll see what happens N1.  

 

Will stay as current as possible during work today and respond to any questions if time allows, but as usual I can't do much in depth during the work day as I'll be on my phone and trying to keep it out of sight so I don't get in trouble, and they do expect me to do actual work for my paycheck.  Whaaaaat.

Alrighty, going to give my reads. Still really early for me to make any definitive choices, but this is what I'm thinking.

 

Darthe has a villager tilt for me. Eldrick seems to be keen to pocket him and follow his lead and he questioned this rather than accepting the company. 

 

Redd seems to be treating everyone fairly equally and applying little bits of pressure to try to get reactions for himself. I think knowing his skill level it's way too early to clear him, but this is a good look so far.

 

Songstress hasn't said much for herself, but she did like that Shanti dove into conflict between Alex and I fearlessly (which is a good thing), which shows she is paying attention to peoples actions. Villager tilt for me.

 

Alexander is very disorganized. This is actually a good thing for him. He doesn't seem to be trying to mislead with his interactions so much as I think he has no idea whats going on, latched onto me because I gave him negative attention and hasn't quite moved past that point yet. He is probably a very confused villager.

 

LedZepMan Going to have to wait on this one, which is unfortunate. 

 

Shanti is giving me villager vibes. She seems really energetic and passionate about this game. She's not afraid to get involved which shows shes not scared of making "enemies", shes here to solve this.

 

Tigrine is mixed for me. I don't feel like there has been really any substance to her posts. They seem simple and just dancing on the surface. Need more from this one. Leaving at neutral for the time being.

 

Eldrick is feeling pretty wolfy to me. He's been buttering up Darthe basically this whole match. He mentioned that last game they were wolfbros together and while I don't think Darthe is a wolf, I do think he's trying to hop into his pocket and get a free ride from a strong player. He seems concerned about his look at well.

 

Ed I got not a whole lot from this slot. Since he's active now I will try to make an actual read after I ISO him. As for now I'm saying unmemorable which leaves him neutral. (will update asap)

 

Dice/Cass is doing well for me so far. They seem to be questioning everyone and giving their insight and have a good amount of control. I agree with Tress and I wish I could see more from Dice to get an accurate read for you as a whole. Going to say villager for now.

 

Hallia is dancing on the surface right now. So far I haven't seen really any substance in her posts. She said she was weary of Redd last night but hasn't updated that opinion. Hate to say it but I think she might be scum.

 

Adella has left a lot to want for. We've only seen two mild interactions from her and one was a welcome vote, the other was her fixating on something extremely specific with me. If she doesn't broaden her horizons I will start to worry. However, she did come for me, which shows she's not afraid of making an enemy which is pretty villagery imo.
