I'll also add that you don't get to pass off my interpretation of your implication as "my fault". I'll stand for everything I say, but at some point you're going to have to explain what your doing for those of us not in the club. It's the same point I made to Batman - everyone gets that you've played together a lot, but all the inside remarks and nods do nothing to help town that hasn't been there, so it looks bad.

But it is a guessing game and imo, you denying the boys club exists is just wrong. if you can look at it from the outside, I'm pretty sure you can see what I mean.

I have never and I will never give someone a village read because they are my "friend". I've been playing Mafia here for like four years. More than half the people on this player list are people I consider friends. If I have a villager read on someone is because I thought they did something they were likely to do as a villager and not a wolf. Simply too competitive to do anything otherwise

This and the "boy club" accusations are what is annoying me. I'll try to give context: maybe three games ago for me on here was a game called Dragon Reborn (it was probably over a year ago, but I don't play much anymore in general) where I was a villager and amongst other people, Shad, Zander, Darthe & Niniel were all also villagers.

 

I quickly sort of realized Shad and Zander were villagers because I am familiar with their playstyle in both roles and felt confident with their content. Not long after making these reads, I was informed I was running a "boys club". Was a bit annoying for me then (probably because I literally just lynched Shad in a previous game called World's End because I didn't feel he was playing his villager game) but mostly because I really felt I was right. Darthe and Niniel got added quickly to that group, but I think typically people only remember when the "aggressively, game-solvey villagers" click.

 

I believe very strongly that the village, like the mafia, is a team that requires co-ordination, agreement and understanding in order to work and functionally lynch wolves. So I believe heavily in "team spirit" and I've seen too many villages quickly break down into paranoia and resentment when the environment is poor.

Yes, some of us know eachother quite well (as you do when you play with someone or know someone for 3+ years) and that's going to inform our reads and we are going to feel and communicate naturally with them. But please do not mistake that for bias. I will go hard at anyone I feel is a wolf and will fight for anyone I feel is a villager. It doesn't matter if their name is monstr or killashandra or dogmother or whoever.

I don't want to kill today, and im worried there is most likely a wolf in my list. if its in one of the top four.... I don't really want to think about it lol.

my problem with killing anyone else on the list is they are not providing much info,so unless we hit a wolf it is going to hurt.

Shad asked me what I thought about him jumping around. Well, I find half of it townie and half of it scummy. Good things = starting the game, being very active, maybe going after Darthe? (although is he?) Bad things = that post where he said that he liked Clov´s vote on Sooh. I don´t get why he liked it and he couldn´t explain it either. The vote on Killa was bad. I don´t like his logic about Ed being town and at the same time say that Killa isn´t a bad lynch. 

 

Cory - I don´t understand your vote on DPR early but other than that you feel townie to me. :)

 

 

Ed - I´m so happy that you still have your little zombie! <3 I still have mine. But I don´t like your game here. Your vote on Killa was really bad. 

 

Darthe - still don´t get his early reads and he has not explained them or posted much.

 

Tress - I have almost no notes on her.

I don't know about that, I would really like to see her interact in the thread instead of just posting catchups. Even forming new ideas in her catchups would look better imo.

The only thing that stuck out was her sheep vote of ed (based on his vote on killa) but I think thats something I would look at after flips personally. besides that most of her takes are pretty open ended.

If the only thing Im going to get are catch up posts, she would be one of my top people to vote off as i think its a easiest way to hide as a wolf.

I´ve now read to page 23. Not sure if I can finish the thread today. Depends on how I feel.

 

 

I asked some questions in my last post and some of them got answered and some didn´t.

 

Clov refused to say why he voted Sooh and did the same with Tress later. I really don´t know why and I don´t know why people seem so cool with it.

 

I still don´t know why Darthe liked Shad/Cory and later disliked Shad. He hasn´t posted much after this.

 

I haven´t understood why Seph voted Shad/Cory but that was some time ago now. He has since voted Darthe and Killa. It feels like he is jumping around a lot. I guess that he voted Darthe because he wasn´t here much (?) but never re-voted him again after unvoting Killa. The vote on Killa was really bad.

 

Also doesn´t like Ed´s reason for voting Killa. 

 

Manbat has said why he thinks Cory/Shad is townie but I don´t get it. It doesn´t seem to be for game related reasons, or? 

 

So far I like Sooh the best. She is active, asking questions, doesn´t jump to conclusion.
