Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiink!!!!!!!!!

I took the first bold as ott opportunistic and likely scum from Eldrick (it was wrt Cuth iirc), are you saying this is a usual thing for Eld?

What's your take on Cuth at that point?

Mindmeld on the bold underlined being opportunistic reason to vote but IIRC this was the main thing they were being publicly pushed for along with defensiveness. What makes LizClov's play 'ridiculously scummy' there for you?

I think that kind of thing isn't really opportunistic because there's almost no chance that anyone is going to join you or agree with that train of thought. It's like a moment where you're trying to psychoanalyse every single word but it's pretty meh. Eldrick posts about them though, I guess it helps him narrow down his thoughts somewhat but it's not alignment indicative.

I think they were being pushed for like 50 different reasons. Their posts in general weren't just defensive but they were looking for every vote to be justified on them to an impossible degree on D1. The "who are my teammates" one was just the post that got more traction. He'd been around for more than enough of the Day to cite something other than just that post as being the determining factor.

Reading Cuth early I feel like his decision to unvote after Eldrick votes was probably the most important one into building momentum elsewhere. I've read the thread once up to page 65 so I haven't ISO'd him which hopefully I'll find time to do later but I don't think he's scum with Eldrick. They were actively working against each other then and this matters since scum was lynched D1.

How much have you played with Eldrick as each alignment and what would you say are the main differences for him as Scum/Town?

I really like this post but disagree with the first bold. My impression from two early games where he was wolf was that he picked more on little things and had more ?huhlogic? than in the recent Hackers game where he tunneled me for the wrong reasons but by the end of the day I could understand/mindmeld with most of his comments and he seemed to reconsider possibilities more often in general/without prompting. Haven't got the same impression here so far.

Agree with the underlined and don't really have more to add there.

Sorry if you've already posted it, what's your read/thought process wrt Darthe?

I <3 u too cass

I didn't say I <3 you though! >.>

But I do <3 :D

Oh, and Imma let Crusher keep digging his own grave before I explain why he pretty much has to be scum at this point too :D

Explain plz

+1

Aaaaaand

Removing Tiink from my WTL today. Analysis feels good/honest aorn and he's questioning/inqusitive/offering orgininal thought. \o/

LizClov- didn't/don't like either of their intro posts or narrow focus on self defence early on. ?shade or paranoia? Snark from Mrs Clov and aggression from Liz look good. Liz v Darthe for wider focus is !!!!!!!! Refusing to let him stay noncommittal reads hunting for answers. Branching out at same time looks good. Issue with Darthe vote?

They aren't the only one. Why the question mark? Why ignore explaining?

Why did you leave your joke vote on him all phase?

You first. Why does it bother you?
It bothers me because you never addressed it. Joke votes being left on someone after the joke phase is over is a red flag for me.

So I asked you about it. So did MrsClov. And we were ignored.

I couldn't tell if the vote was there because it had become serious or not. What is your current read on him and why?

Eld, 'Red flag' is a generic way to throw shade without explaining, and it doesn't really answer the question which is kind of the point.

Why would it be a 'red flag' for you either way?

Why is that particular vote ever a problem or worth pushing in either scenario?

Either it was a joke vote with no seriousness attached to it left in place on D1 because I'd barely been around or it was a joke vote that became more serious as the day progressed.

Regardless, the only real 'problem' with it is that it's an anomaly - and it's easily picked out/on by scum.

Welcome to my net :P

Pretty happy to YOLO that the hydra are Town at this point so ftr

Initially voted Darthe on his intro cos it made me lol:wub:

He was either scum/PR going bold because he could and the WIFOM of early claim might work in his favour; or it was simply a way to generate discussion.

Read it as null, slightly higher chance of Town cos imo TownDarthe especially loves to be null on D1 for reactions. At that point it was mostly a joke and adding fuel.

Lean dropped slightly when I read he did the same as scum in last game because I think he's personally more likely to repeat the exact same thing as scum here than Town because the kick from it would be higher. Had it as something to watch progression on.

Ultimately the only comment I remember from him on it was wrt NB, and then that was quickly dropped in favour of them each tunneling on LizClov.

Add to that the fact that he had an early Town read of me but stuck to the tunnel on the hydra even when they branched out, even when Liz was reacting almost exactly the same way I previously have with him - in a way TownDarthe recognised as Town- and the feeling that LizClov were the new 'Sooh and Eldrick Hydra Scapegoat for ScumDarthe' grew.

Was more sure about that than anything else in the time I had so left it there.

Considered for a bit that Darthe - Hydra could be ultra distancing but I'm not sure that's Liz or Mrs Clov's style given NB's flip I don't think that's the case.

Actually, why would you do that if town? You wouldn't knew her alignment, so no way she has that much weight.

Occam's razor. The fact that liz's one post drew so much attention probably means it's from town. Scum isn't usually that sloppy. If they flip scum, I'll reconsider a lot of stuff, but I don't think it's happening.

That and they have made a lot of sense this game, once the pressure was off of them.

That's a terribly throwaway answer.
Don't care. I have trust that Lizclov, Seph and Cuth are town. Will continue to think so until some hard facts prove otherwise.

@Darthe

- What's the bold in relation to?

- What's your read on Cuth?

I didn't know you'd be scarce cass

Only here cos I'm a sucker. It was clearly in the sign up though.

Why'd you defend me/have me Town so early on?

I still have you as town, just wanted to see your reaponss to the sus. Ciths my washiest read atm, I really go bacj and forth on him. Atm town tho.

Bold is to eldrick following his read on me after he conferred with liz, for lack of a better way to say it. Follow the post link back and itll make sense.

1. That's not the question I asked.

Early on you gave me Town points for pressuring Liz/Mrs Clov on their discussion of you/Dice and with reasoning I find hard to follow.

Feels much the same to me as the support you gave in Hackers when I questioned Eldrick and you were digging hooks in early on.

2. I did follow it back aways. I'm asking you to explain your point.

Posted

So basically, Liz/Clov, Seph and Cuth think each others farts smell good and Eldrick follows all of them around like a lost puppy.

Cuth is useless - contributes nothing and brags about it.

Liz/Clov distract the game by dumping volumes and volumes of content, none of which makes sense.

Seph rubber stamps everything Cuth & Liz/Clov say, and they hold him up as the authority on such things.

Eldrick reminds me of a cartoon character - the one that stands behind the boss/leader and says "yeah!" after everything the boss says.

At this point, were not even playing the game so much as we're picking sides on the playground. There are baskets full of unanswered, undiscussed details, but we ain't goin' nowhere until half of this game dies off. I'm kickin' up my feet til then.

I lol'd and can see the arguments for logic in this post but the bold at the bottom bothers me.

@DPR

If you've got a full handle on the game and believe there's a tonne of details that haven't been answered/discussed, why kick back instead of digging further into it and getting more stuff on record?

oh also

mechanically, eldrick is a bad lynch imo

if we lynch someone else today

either he dies during the night, something else happens, or nothing

doctor can even feel free not to target him unless the doc thinks he actually is town or has a good idea on who'll be the NK

he tells us what happened or is resolved

this solution may be more amenable to both parties

Can you flesh out why plz?

from my pov it's like liz yesterday

something that's possibly scum but two halves of the game completely disagree about

except here he has a chance of resolving

if we avoid targeting him in case he for some reason is scum and being watched for a ploy, he might die or might not

if he does cool you guys don't have to worry about him

if something else happens, he can tell us what it is so we have more mechanical information

if nothing happens, we might consider him more

@eldrick do you have a feeling that something will happen tonight?

I left work last night with a migraine that pretty much ended me for the night.  My apologies for not being here, I will keep reading, though there are so many more pages now v.v

Feel better <3

So then theres no reason beyond "hey wolves might shoot themselves in the foot".

Cool, thats a confirmed terrible idea. Can I vote him twice?
