I'd like to get involved but most of the posts seem pretty meaningless and I'm only going to be around for an hour a day to chit chat. I'll try do something useful tonight.

Alright, read through some of the earlier pages. I'll go back to the other pages later, but right now I'm tired and feel like they'll just frustrate me all over again. These are tentative and could change. Forewarning, I do tend to base some reads regarding how people interact with me. I'll try to fill in some pieces that Liz and I have talked about. I'm still piecing everything together so this is just general thoughts and not so much town/null/scum reads. I'll try to include some post #'s for reference. Also, for those of you who haven't played with me I'm really big on interactions and look into it a lot.

 

1. DPR- He voted for Eldrick on post #91 because he felt like Eld was wound up. At first, I kind of brushed it off as Eldrick being Eldrick but on my re-read post #143 where DPR explained how Eldrick's post seemed kind of lawyery and from what I gather wasn't sure if Eldrick was actually curious or trying to pretend to be curious. This is more of a future game thought for me, so it doesn't really say anything definitively about either of their alignments but it is something I'd like to come back to later. 

 

2. Cass- I feel hesitantly okay about Cass. I say this because I like the questions she's asking, but at the same time Liz and I have discussed how she's been scum a lot so has probably gotten really good at it. Another thing we noted was that the questions didn't really seem like they were leading anywhere. I was somewhat questioning how much she was asking about Eldrick, but on reread it wasn't nearly as much as I thought it was. 

 

3. Sooh- ????? Jokey/greeting posts. If she's send something of context regarding the game I've missed it. Willing to give her a pass because of her birthday. 

 

4. Kronos- Joke voted Hallia, and liked Eldrick's points on Liz blaming Cass as suspicious and thinks that Darthe was just trying to get a discussion going. I don't really have anything to go off of from that. 

 

5. Not Bob- ??????????

 

6. Darthe- Ugh. I really don't like that he claimed Vigilante D1 after he just did it as scum in a basic game. I get what Eldrick is saying about it being different because this is a closed setup, but it still really bugs me. I'm not saying he's scum for it, just something to be cautious of. Obviously I'm bias on this one, but I really don't like how he's coming at me and Liz. It feels forced. Liz had made the comment to me that she thinks he's just toying with us, and I agree. I think he sees us as low-hanging fruit and thinks it'd just be amusing to have us lynched. 

 

7. Wildfire????? 

 

8. Hallia- I think it was incredibly weird how her first? post was to address Darthe's claim. This is notable for me because she was his scum partner in the game he just did it as. It kind of made me cringe.  That being said, she hasn't really posted enough for me to get a good or bad feel. I do feel like I'll be able to read her fairly easily, eventually.

 

9. Eldrick- Originally I didn't realize that he was the one that kind of started going after Liz and I didn't find it note worthy until post #144. He was discussing Liz and I talking about voting Darthe and then voting Dice. First of all Liz jokingly talked about lynching Dice in the first couple of pages, well before the vote. Anyways, what struck me as odd was he talked about how it could be something or it could not be and how he did it to Sooh (I assume he meant in SOoh's game?). What I don't like about this comment is that he was kind of crucifying us for it then admitted he's done it. It felt really hypocritical to me. He's voted us, unvoted, and then voted us again. I had said that I was getting a townie vibe from him because of last game, but now I'm questioning that. Now I'm putting pieces together and thinking about DPR's post I mentioned previously, and how Eldrick keeps saying he's not remembering things when people question him about things he's said. Back  peddling on the original townie vibe a bit here. 

 

10. Cuth- Despite how it probably seems from how he and Liz were goign back and forth, I actually have a lot of respect for Cuth right now. He stuck to his guns, answered questions in his own way, and gave why's. I like why's. But I really appreciate he taking the time to talk with me about where Liz and I are coming from and what we're trying to accomplish. I think he is really trying to be open minded about it all.

 

11. Seph- I get what he's saying about needing to build case, and I appreciate it. I appreciate that while he took the time to explain why he thinks were scum he also took the time to explain what could maybe move us to town in his eyes. Liz had said she really didn't know how to read him. Gut tells me he wouldn't take the time to go out of his way and explain if he was scum (this is more in a general scum sense and not him specifically). I think scum would just string us up with out backing off, explaining what he needs from us, and then unvoting.

 

12. Tinker?????????????

 

13. Dice- A lot of Liz and I's talks about him have been about how he's really reactive if someone votes him and how it's not necessarily alignment indicative. So even though the original vote was a joke, What really bothered Liz was the timing of him voting us. But that's been beaten like a dirty rug, so I honestly just want to step back from it for a while.

 

14. Spoof. I appreciated that he was forthcoming about how he takes time to develop reads and said he's pretty deliberate with his play. Doesn't really tell me much, but I can appreciate the play style.

 

16. Crush- Ugh I think there was something about Bacon and tickling Eldrick. That's about all I got.

Re Darthe: People kept hammering in during that scum game that Darthe claiming something and taking heat for it is null. He's not afraid of the heat as scum, nor is he as town. He uses it as a measure to read people by, and if people make conclusions out of it despite being warned I think they are warranted a second look. If you want to take a closer look at Darthe, please do. It's just that justifying it with "He did something similar as scum" is a pretty null and void reasoning here. 

 

Re Eldrick: I must have missed him talking about me. Eldrick, can you clarify what you were talking about?

Context for my comparison for you getting used to your hydra.

 

Aj's hackers game. Sooh and I were hydra. First time I've ever been hydra. I know firsthand the difficulties of getting used to that.

 

Comparison I made was the discussing one vote and impulse voting another. I did literally this. Waited to talk to her about one person, and impulse voted another shortly afterwards.

His playstyle (that I've experienced, and that is just one game pryor to this) is interesting because of the way he poses questions - it reminds me of trial lawyers stating the obvious before they swoop in and lay down the evidence. There is a quality in those questions that could be sincere equerry, but might also be cover to lull the game into believing he's Town early on. Maybe he's just curious, but I'm still sorting out a subtle tension that I get form him. Could be OCD. Could be he's on his way to a brilliant legal career. 

 

Regardless, please consider my vote a bookmark at this point. No one is in danger of being lynched and we're all basically on our first drink at the party. Personally, I like to get a few in me before I lay down serious votes.
