A malicious misreading of the text you have to be joking. 36 torch wielding townsfolk gathered together yelling at Moiraine and threatening to burn her out is not a mob. That is a malicious misreading of the text is it. Take a step back dude and start to examine if your dislike of my criticism of the show has clouded your judgement.

Exactly. The idea that 30 people could be massacred at a wedding and nobody would care isn’t even far fetched in our real world. How am I interpreting that incorrectly. They are your exact words. How is my interpretation that you said it is not far fetched that 30 people could be killed in the real world and nobody would care inaccurate or absurd. You want me to reinterpret it to make it something you did not say and not the silly statement you actually made? You made the comment. Your words. Clear. I did not misinterpret it. If you made a mistake in what you wanted to get across that is your problem not mine. To accuse me of the error or deliberate wrongdoing is deceitful.

Wheel of Time Season 3 - Full Season Discussion

But Liandrin happily killed all the other women present, despite if as you claim she did it to save a girl from being forced into a marriage she did not want, that a number of them were probably in the same situation. Morgase morally flexible? The woman who thought to kill herself to stop her being used against Elayne. To the best of my knowledge Elaidia kept that foretelling a secret or maybe only told one person who I am fairly certain was not Morgase. -

I'm not sure of what you speak. LTT and Rands ancestor in the AoL are not the same soul and they are not related. LTT and Rand are the same soul. The person with Lanfear is Rands blood relative. Reincarnation is not limited to your direct bloodline to the best of my knowledge.
-
Rand does not have to be LTT's relative. It's his soul reborn not a direct blood line. The visions are bloodline.
-
We did get a small glimpse in the LTT and Latra cold open but the outside was pretty brief.
-
Probably the only thing I would have changed is I would not have had Rand looking back at Muridin. The only way is forward by stepping back in time. He could see his face as he drew level and stepped past.

I did not gloss over your points i have already addressed them or addressed them in my response. If it leads to the riots it still makes the blacks stupid and careless and yes for this reason if we did not have GoT then I would still have a problem with this scene. If the scene made sense within the show even if it was a beat for beat theft from GoT I would have less problems with it.

I will split my feeling on this episode into 2 sections The section once they leave for Rhuiedian was excellent. Really enjoyed the vision sequences and it's the by far the best sequence from Josha in the show really felt like he actually had some good character development. The only issues where it felt like there was a fairly dazzling array of accents, and as I have seen mentioned and applies to the entire Aiel arc this season EXTRA's this is an expensive show spring for some bloody extra's to fill out the Aiel scenes. They surely can't cost that much. The section prior to Rhuiedian was the same show I have watched for the last 19 episodes. I am not going to go through everything I am excited that we actually got some genuinely excellent stuff for 40+minutes. Well done show.

S3 is losing viewers says Samba

I think expecting the studio to do anything but spin the numbers to put a positive angle on any decision is foolish. Even if they were to cancel the series they will say the numbers are good but attribute it to some other reason they are not going forward. Disney has found positive things to say about all it's SW tv series despite them being wound up. -
I was responding specifically to elders post as you can see it quoted. He was taking about churches in our world as was I. On this note the blacks have almost certainly killed the local marriage celebrant which is probably a priest or someone of local significance, usually someone of some importance and that will be missed. You think whitecloaks occupying the city is going to make it less likely for a mob to take retribution on a small group of women? Well maybe in this world where they recommend Aes Sedai healing it might. Or is it likely that people would run and tell said whitecloaks. The blacks took over a palace they did not kill everyone including people who did not reside in the palace. They kept the owner under their thumb and visible so not missing and they then became guests. What i would describe as a good hiding place. But no the showrunners wanted their own GoT wedding slaughter. And a humanising moment for Liandrin saving the girl no matter that she killed many other women who could possibly be in the same situations.

Wheel of Time Season 3 - Full Season Discussion

We are also engaging in wish fulfilment to protect the show. We are deliberately trying to make the item as useless and difficult as possible. Most people when they are making something attempt to make it as good and useful as possible rather than the opposite. -
So many issues to get through here. Firstly the examples you are using are ethnic cleansing by military groups. If you massacre the entire town no one in the town will be care about what happened because they are dead. And do you seriously think that no who was a relative or friend or even a poster on a fantasy forum would not care that it had happened? Can they necessarily do something about it maybe not? Do you seriously think that in a community were militants have killed 30 people in a church that a significant portion of the remaining community does not care. Bullshit. Maybe they don't have the arms or forces to deal with it but they bloody well care about it. If the community around the wedding house does not know the sisters are Aes Sedai, which I am assuming you believe, then they would have no hesitation in going after them as they would assume that mass numbers vs 7 women would be an easy prospect. If they know they are Aes Sedai I don't think any ruler in randland would allow the murder of 30 members of their country without at least sending a message to the Amiryln at the least or even possibly sending in the army to capture or kill them or force them to leave. Emonds field roused a mob to get rid of Moiraine despite the fact she had helped them and you think it ridiculous that something similar could occur after 30 deaths. Come on man. Again there is no community on this planet where you could kill 30 people and no would care about it.

It seems like a shame they did not work in the disintegration as a threads being pulled apart theme. -
What world are you actually living in? The odds that you could kill 30 people in any community on earth and nobody would care is 0%. @Kaleb @DigificWriter @Turin Turambar The only question is could you do something about it. We have multiple reports in the books of people forming mobs and such when confronted by scenarios that are not one tenth extreme as 30 people disappearing. The ownership of the house or the shady nature of the location is not going to matter to a son, daughter father or mother of one of the attendees. Are all of you telling me that if your son, daughter, mother or father suddenly disappeared that you would not care at all just because it was a shady part of town. This does not even include more casual acquaintances like best friends' people who work for you people you owe money to all of these have good reason to question what has happened.

protecting her lair does not mean protecting the blacks the blacks "plan" cannot encompass moggy

That did not feel like a joke Thats my point. That assumes that they know who the spies are which is by no means a certainty.

ah ok my bad.

S3E2:A Question of Crimson - Discussion
Mailman replied to SinisterDeath's topic in Wheel of Time TV Show
I just listed those 2 as examples of compulsion. I am fairly sure it's the Moggy scene i quoted where i got the impression that it was verbal commands after opening up the suggestive state. very sorry for making you read. lol -
Could you provide some examples out of basically all of them. Book 1 where they don't talk to Moiraine I feel is unfair as they don't fully trust her and they do in fact consult Thom for advice a very adult conversation to a complicated problem. Later books Rand and Moiraine have communication issues due to a lack of trust. But I am struggling to find how basically all the other problems in the series could have been resolved with a bit more communication? You guys have a go at me for finding problems in the show but I seriously wonder how some of you ever really enjoyed the books with the amount of issues you bring up about them.

Wheel of Time Season 3 - Full Season Discussion
Mailman replied to SinisterDeath's topic in Wheel of Time TV Show
Well not exactly the book has no ter'angreal that allows travel within Randland in the same manner as travelling. I assume this is because of the need to either know the place of departure or destination and is also why I believe that the show version would require a possible anchor at one end or the other. Portal stones are actually close but those I think are part of a closed loop and have some of the multiworld stuff going on with them. Again simply finding something that could explain it from in book does not lessen the horrible misuse. None of the current Aes Sedai had the power to use them either. Redstone doorways take you to a different world so are a different thing entirely. The fact that there are 2 access points linking to 1 anchor point provides the possibility that you could potentially have 3 distinct locations to travel too. Imagine just from an information perspective the incredible advantage of being able to get todays spy information from Tear and Cairhein while remaining in TV. Even just one point is an incredible advantage not too be wasted on a hook up pad. -
If you did not notice Moggy you did not have the screen on. The black ajah has no idea she is a forsaken and thus could not count on her helping them out. Stretching how important they are? Even criminals and low lives have friends and family and acquaintances people who they owe money too. And honestly you have zero idea how important those guests are absolutely none, for all we know one of them could be dating someone important and they brought them as there plus one. There could be an important gang member or guild leader there we have no idea, you have no idea. I assume that there was someone performing the marriage ceremony. They are most likely just general folks with varying but because of the number extensive link to the local community. You are also claiming it is an area where 30+ people can disappear without question yet the Ajah spy network is deeply embedded in it. If the Ajah network is embedded there the blacks cover is 1 pigeon away from being blown by your reckoning. Because if they are there 30 people dissapearing and 7 women moving in would probably be the biggest information just about ever there and that is if they have not received rough description of the hunted.

I don't find the idea of a ter'angreal that could facilitate travel incredibly surprising. It's the consequences of said item that are the issue. If you have access to such an item it alters the world as it's value is immense.
