I know, most people feel that way. But since I am always right, it just means you're wrong. ^^

    (jkjk. .. .......)

Are we sure you aren’t Taim? Got some of that M’Hael arrogance going on. Jk. You are entitled to your opinion, and I find it interesting that someone could have it as their favorite WoT book. Just wasn’t for me I guess.

    Name: Arie

    Rank: Civie

I'm a Crossroads of Twilight person. I love the small, intricate set ups and Great Game playing in the book, it was a fascinating read even if it wasn't heavy on action like many of the others.

I hated it. It actually took me six months to get through, which is ridiculous. I am so glad ToM didn’t pull a CoT and have basically everybody forget about the big event.

  3. March points:

Asha'man Shar'aman: 40 points total. (10 this month for roll call and question)

Arie: 30 points total (10 this month for roll call and question)

Lava: 96 points total (10 this month for roll call and question)

Dar'Jen Ab Owain: 434 points total (I think) (10 this month for roll call and question)

  4. Who's here? Answer with your name, rank, and faction, if you have one. 5 points for roll call, another five for the question.

    Question: Favorite WoT book?

    Name: Asha'man Shar'aman

    Rank: Soldier

    Faction: Light

I love New Spring, but I also love the EotW and the GH. Actually, I love all WoT books, but New Spring is the only one I have kind of read twice (novel and novella version)

Innocent? Mmmmm. The voices say I am....

Surviving. Weather has been crazy and I've been dealing with some drama. But as usual, trying to bring order to the chaos.

Hmm. My voices say I am far from innocent.

I am sorry. Hopefully things will get better soon though, and I am very glad to have you at the BT!

    That is correct!!!

Yeah the point was people had to ask questions to figure out where they were, but a little bird told me (to late) I made it to easy, cause someone climbed the wall there in almost that excact manner (how would I know that lol) ? I will check with my sources bettr before next time haha?

Ok you wanna try channeling someone to a place now? ?

It was Rand in the Eye of the World. Okay, lets go!

You fall out of a black void face first into cold, white snow. The air is freezing around you, and you shiver heavily as you stand up and brush the snow off of your face and cloak. You pull your cloak closer around you as you take a look around. The view is breathtaking. It seems the whole world is spread out before you. Distantly, you can see a large city, shimmering is the morning light. Where are you?

the general rule of thumb in that universe is that every game is canon, and is basically a different era and incarnation of the same people.

Yeah. The timeline split is still weird and annoying though, because you never know if the oldest game is in the most recent spot in the timeline, or where the game you are playing even is in the timeline.

  8. 6 hours ago, Cross said:

no amiibos arent canon. they're just fun things to use in game.

as it is anyway zelda canon is all over the place. tenuous links if any, though they've tried to connect them all since OoT. there are still outliers, skyward sword tending to be one. windwaker too.

Zelda canon is all over the place! Makes it hard to tell what is canon and what isn’t.

Oh I pm'ed the authorities already, giving you all good credentials (sowwy) ? but yeah I don't recon there will be any answers any times soon no? It's kinda a hen egg situation I guess, you can't really be instated without a boss to do it, but that is also the exact reason why it would be good if you got instated right now lol

And I, your humble (and slightly cray cray) servant, would ofcourse help any way you guys need (when I'm not bussy in the cellar) ??

Yeah, the chicken and the egg thing is exactly what it’s like. I wonder when we will get authority back?

I’m a little scared as to what you get up to down there. But, seeing as how I reverse any weave I know, maybe I shouldn’t be so concerned.

  10. 18 hours ago, Arie said:

If I remember correctly, it makes the weave undetectable, or invisible. Or something. Like Hiding your weave, or masking it from others. ?

Hmm. What about what happened in Chapter 33 in the Gathering Storm? It’s totally possible that I am using the wrong term to describe it.

Well yes...as long as she's not here to shut us down I'm good.? *nods*

Mmm yes well I'm not a warder here anymore, and I started reading up on BT, I ah mean I do like the ashandarei but it's not that much use for it when we are highly encourage to use our channeling powers.. I can like that mohahaha? I must just read up on channeling there haven't been to much info on that yet.

The ashandarei is cool, but I would rather stick to a sword. Channeling is super interesting to study! If you ever read to the end of book six, we will have a lot to talk about Asha’man wise.

Uh oh! Someone has been playing with their channeling powers, and you have been sent on an unwilling holliday?

Ask questions to find out where in the WOT world you are, and the one that guesses it can be the next to send an unfortunate soul on an unplanned holliday?

    Here's the first hint:

you find yourself headfirst into a lovely flower bed (sorry bout that I'm still learning, at least the flowers should smell lovely), muthering to yourself (maybe cursing whomever is gulty of this mess) while brushing dirt of your pants.

finally arissen and somewhat cleaned up you take a look around.

You're standing in the middle of a lovely garden, and in front of you is a huge wall, you can't see any gate nearby, so you start climbing the wall. A few scratches and Bruises later you finally find yourself on top of the wall. The wiev is breathtaking. Below your feet lays a huge beautiful city, house after house. Where are you?

I get the idea that the one who got everyone lost was me. Also, I am in Caemlyn.

Dumai Wells is the extent of using the One Power as a weapon, and pure, unbridled strength. Saidin, for the most part are lost in weaves except what is remembered in the whispers of those tainted with voices of old. "Reversing a weave" is... I don't think it means what you think it means. ?

Saidin is plenty dangerous without reversing weaves, and the skill to do so. ?

(From a logical, old Sedai stand point)

Reversing a weave is where you make an exact copy of it, but reversed, correct? So it does the opposite of what the original weave did. I said experimenting because I don’t think that the Asha’man immediately knew how to form the Rolling Ring of Earth and Fire, I think they discovered it. LT didn’t comment on it, and if Taim knew it, then he discovered it, and Bashere would have commented on it.

That’s true that saidin is dangerous, and reversing weaves has the effect of not knowing what will happen. But experimentation is interesting! Although, I definitely wouldn’t want to be burnt out. So I’ll be more careful in the future. Is that a fair compromise?

And I disagree that Nynaeve would make a poor Amrylin.  She grew remarkably as a person and a leader through the series.  I'm reminded of her time practicing the 100 weaves with Beldine (? I think it was Beldine?) where she challenged the Aes Sedai tradition of basing hierarchy on strength in the Power, and how she led efforts in caring for the people of So Harbor and Tear.  She's strong-willed, to be sure.  But she also cares, something which many Aes Sedai have forgotten how to do, and more than any other, she exemplifies what Aes Sedai are meant to be as Servants of All.

It was actually Daigian. ? That was a good Nynaeve moment.

Well yeah..I could always instate you but it would only be in name since I can't give you access?

There's so much we can't do here because all authority has vanished! I doubt a PM would work. I put the application in the thread in the hope that @Illian Tear would see it.

Psssst... *lovering voice* You think they sent her to spy on us? I mean I've been here for almost two years and never saw mentor in here… *looking suspicious* and what a coincidence it's our mentor popping up huh? ?

Hmm. Well, I know Phaedra's mentor is a member here, but it's still odd. I don't think relations between the BT and the WT are as good as they seem. After all, we both effectively got called traitors a couple days ago. Plus, I get the idea that in the WT's opinion, Warders and the One Power don't mix. So maybe our mentor was sent to spy? But I am enjoying having her here, so maybe we should let it be? After all, everything we say can be viewed, so it's not like they exactly need a spy here.

Oh dear... Until a channeler is able to unravel weaves, you may as well burn yourself out before trying to reverse a weave...

    *sighs heavily*

My my, we have some work ahead of us...

But this is the BT! Remember how we are forced into reaching our full potential quickly? Besides, I already reversed the Traveling weave, and used balefire. Since the spoiler tags still aren't working, all I will say is this: Remember that one event at the end of Lord of Chaos? Experimentation probably made it what it was.

Now this brings up an interesting question. You implied that you would teach me how to properly use the OP, but you are used to channeling saidar at the WT, whereas I am used to channeling saidin at the BT. So how would you do that? I would not refuse teaching, just curious how.

TP is pretty good. and epona is in it a lot. really helps cover ground and she's easy to navigate. of course in that one if we're talking about fictional animals. link is a wolf

I'm hoping to be able to play it soon. Got hyped about Age of Calamity, so that came first, and now I'm hyped about the HD Skyward Sword, so that might come first too. I look forward to playing as Wolf Link, though I wonder what it means for the canon if Wolf Link can be in BotW at the same time as the Hero of the Wild? Unless the amibos aren't canon?

Don't be daft! whyever would I do something like that? *puts aman on pedestal* see now all eyes are on you, you just keep 'em occupied and in return they give you fame and glory!

In the mean time I will work undisturbed behind the scenes? mohahaha..

Well, I would have to officially become head, but I wouldn't be object to you continuing your creepy experiments is the Dark's basement. Not at all.
