  1. Dice what even are your reads?  I put that in a list and it's

    good:

    Darthe

    Tripped

    bad:

    leelou

    Hally

    Verb

Tripped and I are somewhat opposed in the thread, and Hally/Leelou are two of the most active people here so I'm hoping you've got several posts to point to.

As for Verb, True enough. Can't wait to read his reads.

Sounds to me, that a wolf is going to want to create an environment where everyone argues..

Or they attempt to appear super townie, and try to lead the lunch crew in finding the "real" wolf.

As for anti-town, me guessing out loud that Verb is a special role, has its purpose of trying to get y'all to not lynch Verb on D1, like y'all did you me last game.

If he is special, and wolf gets em to tonight, well that sucks. But if he's town, well he's be dead D1 if  I didn't say anything, right?

SD hasn't interacted with Dice from what I could see, and Dice has made two posts where I saw him say something to SD, both times a joke. Very inconclusive data there, but I will say that if SD is a wolf these both look like a connection to Verb, and that would explain why the thread feels so villa.

    1. The dice gods aren't wrong. They weren't wrong game 1.

    2. VooDoo feels off to me compared to last game.

Darthe and Dice are the only ones I have good reads on. Everything else is gut or chance.

Where'd you get a good dice read?

It light of Chris's weird order people you wanna kill WOLFY post I'll invoke another DM tradition l:

    Who would you:

    Cop

    Doc

    Vig

i ascribe to the "cop the middle" strat, so id cop aj/cory/clov prob in that order

I'd doc  myself every night cause barring a roleblocker that guarantees a townie in f3.

I'd vig from the inactives, and then from the bottom.  Verb, currently.

    Hmmmm

    1: darthe/whiskey/leelou/zander - swing darthe, save zander
    2: dice/voodoo/verb/sinister - swing dice, save sinister
    3: cory/clov/hallia/tripped - swing hallia, save clov

    So, million dollar question.  Why?

I have a thought organizing experiment for anyone who willing to play.  I broke the roster up into three groupings.  Pick the person from each group you'd be happiest swinging today and the person whose elimination you would absolutely never support.

    1: darthe/whiskey/leelou/zander
    2: dice/voodoo/verb/sinister
    3: cory/clov/hallia/tripped

At the risk of stating the obvious, no, you can't pick yourself for the person you want to eliminate the least.

Group one's tough.  I think Zander is my biggest T read there, and I have positive reads on the other two but both are very capable of fooling me.  I suppose i'd see whiskey swing since I think he's the most dangerous if he were a woof.

All of group 2 can die.  But really, sinister would swing first and I'd probably protect voodoo for d1.  D2 all bets are off with that group, and the only reason I'm not protecting Verb/dice is I think it's lame to protect people just due to knowing their potential to be good.

3, protect clov or hally, i really dunno which, and tripped would hang

Ngl I was worried you were going to be a wolf @Cory Caboose and felt Darthe’s early Homelander gif towards you was the beginning of an epic showdown that was thematically perfect for that situation.

But you seem pretty okay now that you’re digging in. Calling my read lazy is fair and if I seem subdued its probably a mix of rust and herb tbh :Jordan:

Your approach to the Hally consensus read is a new angle that I think wouldn’t really benefit you as a wolf as compared to following said consensus. I’m not sure whether the AJ/Hally tinfoil is based more on me or her but I would say you’re getting ahead of yourself either way. I’m not sure if I said this ITT but I know I definitely thought it to myself at least but my track record reading her when I am Town is not the best so I’m not unwilling to sponge others per se

Cory has some wolf equity but it’s small imo.  I mostly think it’s just me paranoid about how good that guy can be as a wolf.

Honestly I don't have a great answer. I'm not really trying to meta-read Darthe this game, he was a little too dynamic for that tool to work great even back the day and a long absence won't make me feel any more confident that's he's gonna act this way or that way in any role. All I can really say is he seems really down to earth this game and interested in driving it forward and getting people talking & I'm willing to quiet any doubt and let him work.

Aww this is the Nicest thing you’ve ever said to me

I think Darthe is being sardonic, but the overarching argument is something like "if the townies are all being townie it forces the wolves to also act townie to not 'draw suspicion' but also increasing the chances they mess up along the way because they have to pretend like they don't have all the information already"

Of course, this leads to townies getting mislynched "if they were really town they wouldn't be acting so townie!" and stuff like that so something something flexible strategy

A little but I am half genuine in wanting to curb some of the messiness happening.  Maybe that’s unfair of me, but I don’t feel like I have good reads and this would help.

  11. 1 minute ago, SinisterDeath said:

But wouldn't a wolf want to act like a town and "hunt" for a "wolf" to not draw suspicion?

Sounds to me like acting like a townie doesn't mean anything. Lol

If the alignments don’t affect play then the games completely random and therefore pointless.  The only difference between a player who receives t or w is their knowledge of their role, and that’s the premise that has to taint their decision making.  One group is doing it four real, the other is going through the motions.
